Well it looked great for a while after the trade. They were like 14-1 for his first 15 games as a Warrior. They had been struggling to make even the play in before that.

I couldn't be happier with how it worked out, zero complaints from me. Congrats on the 14-1 though!

If Dwyane Wade is roasting Jimmy Butler like this, the Miami Heat knew exactly what they were doing when they shoved him out the door.

The only part about the trade I don't like is the Warriors beating the Rockets in 7. Other than that, the Warriors are hamstrung with 3 very old guys for two more years, which is fabulous!

They won more games in the regular season which prevented them from getting a lotto pick and helping their situation. Sure they beat us in the playoffs but they also got eliminated almost immediately after.

They got even older and more injury prone losing Wiggins and getting Butler. This is also why I dont like getting old ass people with short windows.

I would say Butler closed their window but I guess we will see.

Butler closed the window of a team that was below .500 before the trade fighting for the 11th seed?

    right…

No, but giving a 36 yr old an extension for huge dollars when he misses 20 games a season is crazy work.

In the past, I used to be in basketball discussions in other places on the Internet.

Multiple Golden State fans would go on and on about the Golden State Leadership (Owner & FO) being quite capable of doing two timelines of

    1. Competing in the present with Veterans such as Curry, Green etc

    2. Being positioned for the future with Youth such as Wiseman, Moody and Kuminga.

Their leadership bungled the drafting with Wiseman shipped out already while Moody and Kuminga are only able to get spot starts.

Instead of at least one of Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody being able to step up and help the Veterans, none of them were up to the task.

    I have no sympathy for
    • The Warriors
    • Golden State Fans
    • Golden State Leadership

    Golden State is officially DONE.

Curry is slowly declining, Butler is declining, Draymond is as well.....this was their last dance.

Technically Draymond has a Player option after 1 year but probably will take the money.

The Warriors didn't give up a whole lot for Jimmy Butler, it was definitely a good trade. Basically, the 20th pick and cap filler.

It might not carry them to a championship but I'm not sure there was anything that would. This is more of a way for Steph to spend his last couple years playing slightly more meaning basketball and having a proper farewell. The modern CBA just won't let you throw a team together like in the old days.

Butler is CP3 as far as health but he doesn't catch the heat for not being available like CP3. He hasn't played more than 65 games since 2017 and now you are paying a 36 yr old guy 48 mill avg until age 39.

It's pretty obvious when you watch it too.

I remember saying mid series of the Rockets series, Ime found out they didn't even really had to guard Jimmy because he won't shoot any ways. They were literally playing off of him for the 2nd half of the series once they realized it lol.

Just sucks Buddy Hield turned int Klay Thompson for a night.
