No part of DOGE is about holding itself accountable. They have intentionally removed an means of tracking what they are doing preventing them from being held accountable. They are making it so they can change records of what has been done, and prevent anyone from following that. It's the opposite of accountability. Meanwhile they are causing all sorts of damage and even death. Who has been held accountable so far?
Oh noes! you mean like when your team opened the border, letting anyone and everyone in, some killing and raping our citizens?
What the hell are you talking about? The previous administration didn't make it possible to change records, and prevent anyone from tracking what they were doing.
I stated correctly that people died because of it. That's what I'm talking about. https://www.yahoo.com/news/people-already-died-doges-usaid-145941920.html
I have one question for DOGE: What have they truly accomplished? If you find Fraud . . .. where are the arrest? Rocket River
WOW! I got another Alter Ego I remember when it was S-something I forget which one was the other me Rocket River
The rampant federal fraud that DOGE is largely ignoring International criminal groups are stealing as much as a trillion dollars a year from U.S. government programs, according to a new report by an anti-fraud firm. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/doge/rampant-federal-fraud-doge-done-little-stop-rcna206860
Elon Musk plans to cut back political spending, saying he no longer sees a need to continue it. "In terms of political spending, I'm going to do a lot less in the future," he said in a video interview at the Qatar Economic Forum. "I think I've done enough." (END) Dow Jones Newswires 10:03 AM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Update with Elon Musk's comments on being Tesla's CEO going forward.) Tesla (TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk said Tuesday in an interview on Bloomberg TV that poor sales figures that have plagued the EV-maker this year have "already turned around." "We lost some sales on the left, and we gained some sales on the right," Musk said in the interview, part of the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha. "The sales numbers are strong. Just look at the stock price. Our stock wouldn't be trading near all-time highs if things weren't in good shape. Don't worry about it."
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/19/elon-musk-disappears-trump-world-00355313 Why has Elon Musk disappeared from the spotlight? The tech CEO isn’t exactly gone yet, but Republicans have stopped bringing him up. On Truth Social, where Trump is known for sharing his unfiltered thoughts, the president used to mention Musk every few days but now has not posted about him in more than a month. Trump’s fundraising operation has largely ceased sending emails that name-check the Tesla CEO. The billionaire’s name, once a staple of White House briefings, now hardly gets mentioned at all. Even members of Congress have essentially dropped him from their newsletters. It’s a remarkable change for the man who was seemingly everywhere in the early days of the second Trump administration. Musk was in the Oval Office, in Cabinet meetings and on Air Force One. He was at inauguration, then in the House gallery for Trump’s first address to Congress, where Trump praised his hard work. He posed with the president and a row of Teslas on the White House lawn.
The DOGE took over of a nonprofit in March and ousted its staff as part of Trump and Elon Musk's wide-ranging effort to dramatically shrink the size of the federal government. A federal judge ruled Monday that Trump administration's dismantling of the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), a congressionally approved independent nonprofit, was "unlawful" She went on to say that President Donald Trump's efforts were "a gross usurpation of power" and that USIP employees "deserved better." The judge later laid out DOGE's myriad efforts—made in conjunction with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia—to gain access to USIP's building. Those efforts included multiple visits from FBI agents to senior USIP officials' homes, despite the fact that the agency's counsel instructed the FBI to direct all questions to him. The head of the criminal division at the U.S. attorney's office also threatened to investigate anyone who obstructed access to USIP's headquarters, Howell wrote. "The President's efforts here to take over an organization outside of those bounds, contrary to statute established by Congress and by acts of force and threat using local and federal law enforcement officers, represented a gross usurpation of power and a way of conducting government affairs that unnecessarily traumatized the committed leadership and employees of USIP, who deserved better," Monday's ruling said.
