Universal Pictures has premiered the first trailer for “Jurassic World: Rebirth” which hits cinemas this Summer. Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono and Ed Skrein star in the film which is being helmed by acclaimed “Godzilla” (2014),” “Rogue One” and “The Creator” director Gareth Edwards. Set five years after the events of “Jurassic World Dominion,” the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind. Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades. “Jurassic World: Rebirth”, which is said to boast more of a horror tone than the recent sequels, is slated to open in cinemas July 2nd 2025. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-jurassic-world-rebirth/
This looks good, new blood in Scarlett but dam.....are they going to milk this franchise for all its worth or what.
watched some dino documentaries, seems like they've made a lot of new discoveries on how the main dinos look and sound. should be quite common knowledge now, but holywud be like "naw fam, we good"
https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/news...rs-evolved-northern-africa-south-america.html This stuff they found in Patagonia is amazing, look it up I looked at some of those giant jawbones...and all I could say was "this is ****ing ridiculous"
It's a trailer, so it looks good. But the Jurassic World films have been so..........stupid. I remember the commercial for the Blu Ray release of the last film: "Special Edition! 20 minutes longer! More action! More dinosaurs!" Dudes, your problem was not "too little action, too few dinosaurs." The story was so......stupid. I remember seeing the film (non-Special Edition, mind you) that summer in theaters because my friends saw it and liked it. I will never take movie advice from them again.
It reaches a point where . . . you have to think of some outrageous reason for people to do something stupid At the beginning of the movie it's like. . .. so why are they on the island again? Mostly its either been MONEY or Some Save the whales stuff Rocket River
Trailer looks good, but if this is a remote island with only dinos then what's up with the family taking a rafting trip.................Guess we shall see in July.
The dumbness is why I think it's not produced for the more sophisticated American market. Yes, a large segment will turn out to see this on day one, kids love it, it's dinosaurs, so it will be a hit. But then word of mouth gets out that it's dumb, and people who were on the fence won't see it in the theater. However, overseas, they eat this **** up regardless of plot. It's a big American Hollywood film with action, explosions, dinosaurs and recognizable A-list stars.
Now, don't get me wrong. If there's a scene where a T-rex chases a pantless Scarlett Johanssen through the rainforest because it caught her squatting mid-pee, okay, I'm seeing it in IMAX.
the plot of these movies may be dumb AF, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gonna watch this when it’s available on streaming
