[Movie] Richard Linklater’s New Wave

    Looks good, the director of photography did a really good job. Almost identical to the Breathless shot by shot.

    This has none of the things I associate with late 1970s - early 1980s New Wave.

    I know Linklater, met him when we were doing Digital Anvil and he bought a building to do a small studio on Congress it is now the Speakeasy bar.

    Not a friend, but he was a super nice guy and really interesting to talk with.

    This is his kind of artsy film.

    Given the director, I thought for sure it was going to be about the Houston new wave scene in the 80's. Maybe a doc about the Westheimer strip?
