Yeah, there's absolutely zero chance he saw that tweet until after it was posted.

How is that any different than all the IDIOTS running amok on this administration without Trump knowing what is going on?

You think Trump is smart enough to execute on Project 25? LOL - not a ****ing chance.

I mean, I wish Biden good luck and all. But, it doesn't really matter to me. He's not president anymore, was never going to be back in politics. He's a private citizen. And, he's an old man that has lived a full life and is nearing the end. Maybe this kills him, or something else does. The only tragic part is that MAGA is going to try to leverage this news as much as they can to spin off more conspiracy theories about how the Democrats were trying to fool the country.

Sure, this goes through my mind every time some celebrity or whoever has something bad happen to them: "Well...that's terrible" and then I move on.

But it doesn't mean I say it out loud.

I agree with the jist of your post, btw.

If I was talking to his family, I'd probably have sense enough to keep my mouth shut. :)

Im confused. Its a conspiracy theory that the Biden's inner group was hiding his cancer diagnosis? Which is it? Democrats hid it or Biden really doesn't have cancer? His doctors came out and said he was perfectly healthy.

The better question is at what point does the public have a right to know about serious medical conditions. Personally I would say stage 4 cancer should be one of those disclosures but maybe I am old fashion to expect some transparency, especially since he decided to run against Trump again.

Im baffled why harden Democrats continue to defend bad decision after bad decision, over and over again. Your party continues to play you for a fool

Doctors frequently miss things. I know this first hand. Sometimes when a patient gets to a certain age they purposely don’t even look. I would have thought that a President would get a very thorough physical examination every year, but that may not be the case. I’m guessing that if a President declines to have the digital rectal examination, then it may not be performed. I’m just guessing here, but I think that’s a possibility.

I think it is wrong to assume that something was being hidden about his prostate cancer.

You set a false dichotomy. He has cancer, so the dilemma should be (a) Biden knew when he was running and said nothing, or (b) Biden genuinely didn't know before he dropped out of the race.

As for your better question, I'd say the first answer is the public does not have a "right" to know. His health information is carefully guarded by HIPAA, just like it is for everyone else. There is no right. We instead protect our national interest with a clearly defined order of succession. With an acceptable VP in place, it doesn't matter so much if the president drops dead. There are questions about tradition and good governance and all that. But Trump threw that stuff out in his first term when he wasn't forthcoming with his own annual physical, so I don't see why I should expect it thereafter.

And, I don't know about bad decision after bad decision. There was one bad decision, which was when Biden decided to take the risk of running for a second term when he was too old. Everything else turns on that one choice, like a Greek tragedy.

And finally, it's all moot. Biden is retired. He can no longer hide anything from the voting public that will matter. Well, you might reason, the party apparatus that helped him hide his ailments to maximize his chance of winning the election is still there. And that's true. It exists in both parties, and indeed all parties, and it's never going away. How are you going to win elections by being transparent about bad news? That's like expecting the Republican party to admit that Trump really did try to steal the 2020 election with crime and fraud. That's the sort of transparency I would want but is probably naive for me to expect.

(And finally, finally, I'm not sure it's my party any more anyway.)
