Starting to come around on this idea. The price should be pretty low and it lets us try to contend while keeping our future.

Any of Amen or Sengun gaining a 3PT shot makes this offense theoretically capable of improving dramatically.

With Udoka here I don't put it past him to do something stupid though. Whoever is taking more 3's will grab fewer rebounds so he will be panicking about winning the rebounding championship.

    Maybe Josh Giddey?
He is a great playmaker and has recently become good at three-pointers. He can attack the rim, and I think he can maintain his composure in the playoffs. However, I'm not sure if he can adapt to the team's defensive structure or if Ime can use him efficiently.

What is sad to me is that with most any scenario we come up with we have to create an Ime caveat. Most of problems would be solved with a better head coach.

The problem is that packing the paint completely shuts down our offense. Amen or Sengun could shoot 40% from 3 and teams would still pack the paint against us. FVV was on fire from behind the arc at the end of the GSW series but the Warriors kept packing the paint. One guy isn't going to make a difference, especially if they aren't super efficient at an extremely high volume.

You could add Curry to the current team and best case, teams would play a box and one against us and the middle would still be clogged.

A proper offensive assistant coach is all this team needs. Ime needs to take a back seat offensively and let someone help his team

and after that if they want to replace FVV I’d be ok with that

He told you in the press conference when he made the snide remark if we have people that could shot 90% FT and 50% from the field we would win. His play style since the all-star break his first season is based on this completely. He knows we cannot shoot so he has focused on the brick fest rebounding instead of trying to improve or maximize the shooting. It was all very predictable. Get KD and kicked FVV out of here would force him to change. We need a monster who can run the PnR to break our offense open. FVV being short and slow just cannot break down a defense.

Giannis needs to specify that he wants to come here, bringing the price down. Otherwise, forget it.
As others have stated, we'll have to add more, and it'll shorten the window.
And, I DO NOT want to give up Jabari.
    Booker should be our target....
Not to replace Green, but FVV.

So, in order, this is my overall preferences, from most to least desired.

    1. Use Green, our top 10 pick, and maybe someone like Tari to land a 25 - 40 player in his early to mid 20s who complements Amen and Sengun. Trae Young, Darius Garland, Ja Morant, etc.

    2. Trade for KD in a reasonable package - don't give up Sengun, Amen, or a bunch of picks.

    3. Find a way to move up in the draft and land one more high level prospect. While Harper and Cooper are gone, I would love to land one of Bailey, VJ, Johnson, or Knueppel.

    4. Either select at 10 or trade it for future draft capital and run it back.

    5. Trade Sengun towards a superstar.

Sengun shooting 3’s will have a greater impact on the paint packing than FVV. FVV also is no threat to drive. If Sengun gets a 3 point shot it will dramatically limit the type of defenses that would be employed against us.

That would be ideal, but do you really think Ime’s ego would allow this to happen? Do you think Stone has the stones to make it happen?

Depends on the volume. FVV shot 43% from behind the arc in the playoffs on almost 9 attempts/ game and it didnt change the defense. If you expect Sengun to shoot anything close to that or near the same volume, you are going to be disapointed. Sengun shot 38.79% from outside 5 feet last season and his is 3pt shooting has actually gone down two years in a row.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, Ime’s ego might become a problem. He thinks he is Popovich but he’s not. Pop had a legit defensive and offensive identity

Stone deferred the team to Ime as soon as he brought Ime

Yeah Ime has no idea what to do on offense just like how he played in the NBA.

Honestly does it really matter what a team does in a rigged league?

Life is meaningless by nature, we are all just little critters existing on a floating rock in the middle of the universe.

might as well root for the Rockets to pass time in our meaningless lives:D
