It’s gonna be pandemonium in NYC if they make it to the Finals. I’m all for it.

I loved those 90s series between the Pacers and the knicks. Since Smits played for the Pacers we got to see almost all of those games.

In those days the Dutch station showed eastern conference games almost all of the time. And only on Friday and Sunday. And in the play offs all Pacer games.

Unlike in the 90s I will be rooting for the Pacers (I loved LJ in those days). Go Pacers

Last night I watched the ESPN 30-for-30 episode called "winning time" profiling Reggie Miller's heroics in several Knicks-Pacers series in the 90s. It is on Netflix.

It's a good reminder of some of the changes in the game.

-Both teams had "no layup rules" and regularly destroyed anyone attacking the basket: Ewing, Oakley, and Mason for the Knicks, Dale Davis, Antonio Davis, and Smits for the Pacers

-Games with final scores in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, with lots of grabbing & pushing not called, ever. Not much offensive flow. Definitely a defense-first mentality.

-Flagrant fouls? Nonexistent, unless you flat-out punched somebody. Taunting? LOL. You could make the two hands around the neck choke sign then grab your crotch, with no whistle.

-No replay reviews. Bad calls? Suck it up.

-The three ball was obviously important for Reggie, but most players were not eager to hoist the 3 in those days.

Can you believe they called that a foul, when Brunson barreled into the lane yet again, created contact, and flailed around, wildly? Taking more free throws than the other team, all together!

Holy Donovan Mitchell, what in the SGA is going on here?

OK, fake news. I'm just getting warmed up, LOL

    Get ready for it.

What I learned from watching Rockets/Knicks games this year is you can foul Brunson off the ball, a lot. Dillon Brooks really roughed him up. To Brunson's credit, he didn't cry about it.

I don't mind the Pacers winning...

But it would be funny if the Knicks and Minny saw each other in the finals with the trade that happened between them lol. Both teams trading their Robin to each other.

Don't care who wins. They appear to be evenly matched. I hope the games are entertaining.

I don't have a good feel for this series other than to say the Pacers must split the first two games or they are in trouble. It would help if they avoid first-game jitters.

My gut says the Knicks will advance because Brunson will make more clutch plays than Halliburton. Aside from those two, 3-point shooting could be the difference. Will the Knicks wear themselves out trying to cover?
