so many idiots on CF I might need to take a break from y’all. Without Sengun there is not 2nd seed. It was everyone’s taste of the playoffs against Steph and Jimmy.

glad you idiots aren’t Stone and Ime

Can't agree here, Sengun is a 3PT shot away from being a consistent 25ppg player.

Even without that if you surround him with 4 shooters he's deadly.

More than anything, his passing skills have to be taken advantage of. Stop treating him like a basic 20/10 post up player. Let this man use his passing instincts.

Man all our young guys are poorly utilized but no one wants to admit our excellent defensive coach sucks at offense and he sucked at offense with 2 superstars too.

He has high talent and potential to be a 30 ppg guy.

Anyone can score 30 ppg with enough shots, that doesn’t mean anything

Seems off to defend Green when he had the much worse Playoff series than Sengün but lol.....

These brazenly disguised Green threads are laughable.

Look at the list of players who have ever AVERAGED 30ppg. Is Jalen on that trajectory?

Jalen has potential to score 30 on any given night, I’ll grant you that. However, that’s list of players is much longer.

Maybe not anyone but probably around 150-200 guys? If you didn’t care about efficiency than why not?

Despite his poor efficiency in the playoffs, he averaged 21/12/5. On better efficiency, he would have averaged 25+/12/5.

I’ll be honest - people like the OP and those that claim we don’t have a player who will become a “franchise” player are, in my mind, either incredibly arrogant or ignorant. Our two best players are 22 yrs old. The idea that anyone can say what they will become
    Is insane.

Imagine shortbus here telling us in 2018, "Denver should get what they can for Jokic." "He's slow-footed, can't stretch the floor, is an old 80's style bruising big" "In the playoffs when guards and wings own the ball he's going to be a statue just clogging the paint" "In summary - he can't defend, he can't shoot, you have to uniquely build around him and he isn't good enough to justify that level of roster composition commitment"

B/c that's precisely what shortbus would have said about 22 year old Jokic and his 19/11/6 on 50% FG

Not sure how many people would have said that considering jokic shot 40% from 3 that season. He also put up a TS that was 8% above the league. Sengun shot 23% from 3 on a TS 5% BELOW the league. Can he improve? Of course, but that’s an utterly ludicrous comparison.

I actually don't agree that we need to trade him, I just also don't think he's the #1 guy/superstar his fans think he is. I think he's more Sabonis tier than Jokic (not the same player, just the same level of player before all the SOF's go mental at me - cba) which is great, but it also means he needs to fit the inevitable star rather than having the team moulded around him. I think his long-term fit depends entirely on whether we're able to land a star or one emerges, until then it's his team as far as I can see it.

Yup, i wouldn’t WANT to trade him unless jokic or ant asks out, rather see what he can do over the next few seasons even though i think the odds of him becoming a true #1 are very slim.

That’s fair. I still think he is a tremendously unique player. I want to pair him WITH a superstar, not trade him FOR one.

I think this comes down to which superstar you get and what that fit is. I'd be very hesitant to send Sengun out anywhere unless it's very clear we've got a legit superstar (like right now, not potential future) and it's not going to mesh well, at that point I'm ok with trading him. If we are sending him out though, it does need to be that superstar tier player, give me Giannis, not broken down KD or Harden, they're not worth it.

He will find his path to a contender or another Playoff team but it is not for those Jalen fans to decide when or how....
