My only fear is holding onto FVV and delaying the development of Amen or Reed at PG. I’d rather just trade for KD using FVV + Tari or Brooks + 10 This will allow playing time Reed & Cam. Keep our young guys, and keep almost all of our picks if they will really be the lifeblood of new CBA KD is such a low risk high reward short term trade while Booker and Giannis could go south really fast after a couple years like many big superstar trades do
The bookies just want things to unfold, neither Booker nor Giannis have said they want out or go to Houston specifically. This is specifically news surrounding the draft, the draft can also go really quietly......
Agree with you. Our main goal should be to get another shooter in the lineup and get rid of FVV. Anything else is gravy. That gives Ime a year to prove he can coach to a top 10 offense. If not, he should be next to go. I would also call Philadelphia and see if we could move Jalen and picks for Maxey, if not doesn’t hurt to ask.
Devin Booker year 4: <33% from 3 = 50% >50% from 3 = 20.9% (i've actually included all the 50% games as that "hit it") 32% overall, 4x all star, 1x nba first team, 1 x nba 3rd team. I'm out on Green but you really don't understand how the numbers work. You'd probably be shocked at how many games Steph Curry doesn't hit 33% for example.
For some reason I vaguely remember trades made by teams eliminated from playoffs prior to season's end post trade deadline.
I bet KD is perfectly content being a 2nd-4th option any give night and just chill his old ass on the perimeter drilling threes Amen relentlessly attacking the basket with guys like KD, Jabari, and Jalen on the perimeter is what this team is missing. The FVV running point with Amen / Sengun / Adams clogging the paint ain’t gonna cut it KD gives us that “superstar” presence while allowing Ime to develop himself a point guard between Amen & Reed. We might lose a few more games but will be better going forward because of it Giannis or Booker could really make or brake the next decade or two if it goes south and we give up too much for 1-2 WCF exits
No they have to pick up the team option or extend FVV to trade him. After they trade them they cannot pick him up for 1 year after the trade.
10 out of 70 games this year. 14.2% compared to 28% of Jalen. If you're focusing on Booker's 3pt shooting then compare it to Green's. 53.6% at 33% or less.
Closest thing I could find online... Postseason (Playoffs): Once the regular season concludes and the playoffs begin, the trade deadline is no longer in effect.
There is nothing defensively that Bam did better than Sengun this year. Like besides reputation I dunno why you think he's a better defender. Sengun had a better DWS, DPM, Stl%, Blk%, Rebound %.
You're moving the goalposts, you said "most future all stars at his stage." Booker isn't that, he's a multiple time all star and all-nba team player. Compare them at the same stage of their career and Jalen's numbers are better tbh. Like I said, you don't understand how the numbers work, similar to the people who were like "I'm going to need at least 75% of his games at 35% or above" without realising that's never been done. You don't get to try and deflect that by changing the argument entirely. You were wrong, it's fine, Jalen still sucks ass.
If those are your thoughts then why are putting so much impetus on Udoka for not having a good offense with a bunch 20-23 year olds that by all accounts over achieved. The expectations of Udoka seem out of the realm of what the player ages and archetypes would lend itself to.
I was thinking the same thing... Fred/Landale + #10 If Amen/JG/Reed are only responsible to bring the ball up the court and get it to Sengun, and they don't have to initiate the offense, then we might not have to replace Fred. Maybe through analysis, you could find the scenarios where JG was most efficient as the initiator, and then use those scenarios to give Sengun a break. The other thing I'm wondering is how effective could JG be as a slasher when the defense is in the middle of rotating, rather than slashing as the initiator when the defense is set. I wonder if that would simplify things for him as a decision maker.
Weird, you brought up Booker and only 3pt shooting. You changed the goalpost then tried to cherrypick. Just at random, looked up Vince Carter at 22. Only 9.7% of his 82 games under 35%. That means more than 90% he was above 35%. I think you may need to pause and reflect on things.
Hey, look, his cousin McGrady did it too at 22... Only 11.8% under 35%... meaning 88% better... Wow, 2 in the same family doing something never done before.... I'm so surprised!
