I like this guy too. There more I watch, he's got some gifts. 6'8.5 with a 7'4 wingspan can get his own offense and rebound. Good shooter too. You can definitely trade back for him.
Nice. I like that he can put it on the floor and get a bucket. He could be a better pick than Rasheer Fleming or Carter Bryant. I wouldn't even be mad if we traded down for this guy.
Well, I was talking more about we're talking about 20 different players in this thread about Clayton.
There are always uncertainties outside the top 5 pick...I always advocate to pick the best available player at your draft spot, but Walter Clayton Jr was a big time player in the tournament...we need winners and drafting him at #10 wouldn't hurt or break us.
every NBA player is a winner till they get to the NBA. We already have Reed Sheppard you cant play both him and Clayton Jr together.
The backup point guard position is suspect on our team...just in case Reed is still an liability on defense, you have Walter Clayton Jr who is proven to play well on the big stage. 4 years of college basketball is still an advantage for development.
Playing well in college is not a guarantee you will play well in the NBA. We are not sure if Clayton jr will be Steph Curry or just Seth Curry
Aka Ime would never play him - but Spurs or someone who likes SloMo Anderson would make him a decent rotation player
It makes it challenging in my opinion to know what kind of player to draft if you don't know what exactly you've got on the roster. I guess that's why you always choose BPA.
This guy was great every time I saw him play, 3 times I think. I think we trade the pick, but if we keep it, I’d be ok with it.
Not exactly an indicator or a way to project a prospect via a training session... but Clayton Jr. is getting owned by Rasheer Fleming in basically every single 1v1 in these clips. Or maybe Fleming is that good?
Clayton should be close to the bottom of the first round pick. I'm not even sure he is worthy of a first round pick. He short and not very athletic. Great players in college don't always translate.
And that’s where he is mocked. So many guys way better than him. He would be a big time waste at a top 10 pick and Stone should get fired if that’s the case.
