I just want the truth and some of the things that go on behind the scenes. I dont want a bought and paid for cheerleader. Which is basically what the 610 guys are, minus Payne/Stoerner and I'm really meh on Stoerner and his aww shucks routine. I also dont get the Granato love, only reason he's got a job is because he's well connected with high dollar people/advertisers around town. As far as sports knowledge he's got very little and LZ carries their show. These days when I'm in the car I listen to a lot of Kirwin/Miller on Sirius and also Bowden/Spillborough (SP?) on MLB radio. Give me educated nuts and bolts sports talk.
I want someone who can explain WHY they hold an opinion and not just shout an opinion because they are having a bad day because they lost a parley.
The only one I like is Matt Thomas and he’s not even a Texans fan. The rest of them are boring or annoying.
I miss the old daily "Pallilog" that he had on Chron.com, he would post a series of pictures with pertinent sports related captions, then usually end with a pic of a scantily clad babe.
Not if it’s 24/7 Texans talk like it is on 610. 790 talks about all Houston sports teams, including rockets and Astros, not just the Texans. 610 are such casuals when it comes to the rockets. I don’t listen to Matt Thomas show every day, just 20-30 minutes here and there.
Of the 610 guys, this is why Payne and Stoerner are my favorites. I think a lot of ppl here don’t like Clint’s negativity.. but I see it as a firm grasp on level-headed and what the outside world sees. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, I can be positive about my team enough on my own, I need someone making the hard statements
