But you understand Reed not getting mins is also cuz he wasnt playing well right? Jalen is getting criticized cuz he is in the court and playing bad but Reed is worse than him since he cant even get on the court.
I have two answers for you and I don't think they are contradicting with each other: 1. Yes, for the mins Reed got, he didn't do well. 2. No, Reed does not have the privilege of what Jalen had under Silas years. And again, this is his first year, Jalen's fourth. This comparison itself is a bit absurd to me though, Jalen played bad but people say Reed deserves more criticism? Actually I couldn't care less about Reed, I don't think he even worth mentioning here based on the little mins he got, that's why I barely post anything about Reed no matter positive or negative. He could be a bust who knows, we may find out the answer soon.
I think this speaks more to the lack of shooting on our team more than anything. They target Jalen cause he is the only threat to get hot. Give me another name on that list that scored single digits in 6/7 playoff games.
Reed had plenty of chances to impress in practice. He didn't which is why he barely played. He might improve over the summer. His shot is really a thing of beauty but it just doesn't seem to go in very often. I guess he has the potential to eventually become a decent starter. I'd rather trade him though while he still has some value around the league. If he sucks again this season, his value will be much lower next summer. Agree on your points about Alpi and Jalen. I think it's cool that fans will defend Jalen though. It keeps the board interesting.
No problem with this. There are some powerful subjective platitudes in today's sayings......such as 'As long as someone is on the Rockets, I will support him....' Nope, there is no such rule to say this, I will say that I will tolerate him and if he does well, say a good word or two......that is as far as I can go..... I don't have time for all the players on the Rockets, do I look like Mother Theresa? Caring about Draya's boy? This little selfishness one should grant sympathizers of the ball club....
I didn’t get anyone. Your ignorance and bullshi+ got you. The info was there but you were too lazy to look. Why would I count back court touches as I was specifically talking about how the Rockets run their half court sets with Green not being a part of a majority of the actions ran as opposed to Edwards who is the main hub. At the end of the day either way Edwards had more touches in both the reg season and playoffs. You tried to embarrass me and you failed. Next time know what you speak on.
He was attacking @DaDakota over and over in at least a dozen post all about a bunch of political bullcrap. It had nothing to do with basketball or the Houston Rockets. He was complete unhinged lunatic. I assume it was spilling over from the D&D where it should have stayed. Any politics that has been allowed in the GARM has been politics that was basketball and/or Rockets related. Fchowd engaged in a 100% political attack on another member in the GARM.
Yeah unfortunately I don't think we're ever going to be fortunate to have somebody trade us a top-level talent for a questionable one. I just hope we can move Jalen without having to lose somebody good to do so.
Who cares? You play guys because they need minutes to get over the not ready point. Great coaches know that FVV isn't good enough and that you need to groom that number 3 pick - and live with the learning process. Great coaches are the wind in the sails of young players, not the bully on the bench. Now I get earning minutes if you are on a contender, but this team is FAR from a contender, and don't give me number 2 seed bullshit, .....we just got stiffed by a number 7 seed - this team is not a contender until it balances offense with defense... DD
SIGH Not this nonsense again. This stat does nothing to change Jalen's lack of progress over four years. He's not a good starter in the league and this doesn't change that.
Any time I see this stat I get triggered to explain. It says ‘gravity is a basketball term used to describe …’ . So they are telling us what they want to measure or even worse what they want to market their stat as, rather than how they are measuring it. And if i remember correctly from their description, it sounded like they are basically measuring how many on and off screens you get, and how much the defenders chase you. A quick guard like Jalen ends up having gravity but jokic doesn’t.
He does have popularity gravity, somehow coaches like Kerr throw a smoke screen and treat Jalen as a superstar...... His fanbois are like Piranhas biting it.... to be fair, I like the word Gravitas in acting a lot more. But Kerr would also have a Plan B and Plan C.
Most of what you said is correct, however, it wasn’t long ago that you screaming that players needed to earn their minutes. Seems like you blow with the wind more often than not.
Kerr knew only 1 player could win us the series - you show Alpi 1v1 he shooting it 9x out of 10 (limiting our 3pt attempts) and they had the advantage with Looney and Draymond. Our offensive system just sucks and our coach too stubborn to see it…. He could run 2 diff systems one geared for Alpi and one geared for JG… but FVV would need to go in both cases
