Lol, no he wouldn't have, he's not even a starting caliber player in Euroleague THIS year.

He's yet another completely unskilled athletic types that are a dime a dozen that the same types of people fall in love with over and over again.... but Udoka seems to be that type.

Aleperen Sengun, Jabari Smith. Just cuz the love of your life Reed Sheppard cant hack it doesnt mean Udoka gets the blame.

Jabari shot 45% from 3 in the playoffs along with good defense so not sure why you think Bari parallels are a bad thing.

I think Fleming is gonna be an Udoka favorite cuz with his 7'5 wingspan, hops and 6'8 height (6'10 with shoes) he is gonna be a defensive and rebound machine.

Theres a lot of other interesting talent in this draft, these two are just my bias but IMO the draft is open after the first 4 picks.

Also disclaimer on KK he "didnt stand out" because he was injured, he didnt do any of the shooting or athletic drills thats why he never appeared on any of the top results lol. I was looking into it apparently he sprained his ankle so I guess he just got measured.

Kasparas is the best value if still available at 10. He was originally slotted for top 5 and his ceiling is Luka.

Kon is the perfect pick, but he won't be there at 10.

We need NBA ready role players or high potential point guard/point guard prospects.

What the Rockets are lacking is not this type of talent but the Top 1-8 player typ of talent.....and they lack minutes for development.

I’d look hard at Rashad Fleming. I think he’s a sleeper. If not trade back for a shooter or trade out altogether.

In order for Kasparas to make any sense you have to believe in the shooting. He shot very poorly for half the season. So there’s a legit question on if the shooting is good. Lots of disagreement about that in the draft community. He’s also a terrible defender and commits a ton of turnovers. If he can shoot it at a high level I’d be all over it, even though he’s not a 2-way player. But I’m not sure I buy the shooting. That’s why he will probably be there at #10. Whereas other guys like Tre and Kon are virtually guaranteed to shoot it at a high level. And that’s why they won’t be there.

Many more options than at the 3rd pick last year.

do they? Rox are ahead of schedule and would have gotten to the 2nd round if Jalen didnt play like a scrub and/or the team made their fts.

Fleming doesnt require minutes for devt he is a junior he should come in ready to rock. Bryant will need development but he can serve in GLeague for his freshman year and then come in case somebody gets injured.

Another reason for drafting Fleming is that he can contribute immediately as a junior he has played college bb for 3 year. You can go with a balance line up (Apli, Smith, Fleming, Brook, Amen) or 4 out (Apli, Smith, Fleming, Brook, and Shepard).

Draft the BPA. I'm intrigued by the size and potential. At worst he's a backup PG.

I am not sure who is better between him and Egor Demin. Both are jumbo pgs with bad shooting, athleticism and defense. In the combine Demin outperformed Jak in the shooting though so there's that.

I generally dont like small pgs who cant shoot but Fears plays so much like Maxey he might end up being the best pg in the draft.

Saw some tape on Fleming and Carter Bryant aftee you mentioned them in an earlier post.

I wouldn't mind the Rockets picking Fleming if they keep the pick - definitely looks like someone who will crack the rotation soon and contribute. Big body, can shoot threes, play solid defense. Seems like he's much better creating his own offense or for others than Bryant and also has a much smoother, quicker shooting form than Bryant.

Knueppel I think we all know he'll be unplayable in the playoffs because of his defense and below avg athleticism... I like his shooting talent and overall IQ/feel but unless we know he'll be a guaranteed star and shoots lights out from day one... he's not getting off the end of the bench in Ime's rotation for the next two years, minimum.

I think his shooting woes are the only reason we're contemplating him at 10... and I think if you dig into the numbers there are some justifications for shooting that poorly (injury, shot selection, etc). His FT at 85% gives me a lot of comfort that he can easily become a 35% 3pt threat which makes him valuable with all the other tools at his disposal.

What excites me most about his as a prospect is he seems to be completely in control in PnR situations which we know is the staple of the modern NBA offense.

Defensively the concerns are real but fit will be a really important role here. I think his frame can fill out and in a switch heavy scheme (like the Rockets), you can hide him easily. Luckily for us we have Amen, Tari, and Jabari we can play him with who are all fantastic at switching anything and everything.

Nolan Traore at 18 years old is putting up 16.6 PPG & 5.8 APG on 48% 3P in last 5 games. The overall 3p% is not good but his shooting is getting better as the season goes along.
