I don't think everything people say about it being rigged is true, but as of the Doncic trade and this last lottery, I'm officially skeptical. I'm certain Donaghy cost us that series intentionally, but I'm not sure that was coming from the league as much as it was from external forces. Everywhere gambling goes, weird things start happening. I've observed this in several countries and industries now.
Also...All the drives inside where we were creamed, with no call. It changed the way the game 7 was played. For that matter, there shouldn't have even been a game 7. Audacious, just like the lottery.
Fast forward to this year and I am certain that game 5 was thrown by the Warriors to profit off the ratings since the series was so intense and getting attention. In the first quarter the announcers were already saying the game was over and at half time they were too. It's like everyone knew the plan but the fans. The Warriors literally just sat the game out and took a blow out.

There is simply too much money involved for people to be incentivized purely for the love of the game. The NBA has a long history of changing the rules to make the product more marketable ...and those are just the published rules that we can see. What other rules do they change?
The NBA doesn’t need to be ashamed its product is edited for Television entertainment. The WWF publicly denied wrestling was faked, until they rebranded to the WWE, and then they freely admitted all the results have been predetermined. Come on NBA, follow the lead of the WWE, just admit it! I guarantee that people will still watch for the athleticism that is still out of this world. I know there is a lot of sleazy referees calls that favor the ratings drawing teams. Seems the team that draws the ratings has their chances for succeeding amplified immensely by both calls for them and no fouls against them. Morey exposed this when he hired an independent firm to analyze all the fouls in the Warriors vs Rockets playoffs, and the results proved the NBA called championed the Warriors into a dynasty.
It’s not just the stupidity of the Luka trade. Many of their fans were done with that team after the trade. Then they just happened to get the top pick, just like the Pelicans got Zion after AD left, just like Cleveland got 3 number 1 picks in 4 years (including Kyrie) after LeBron bailed on them. Too many coincidences.
Competition/Regulation committee and FBI should be investigating but I'm sure the NBA has already paid off everyone that they need to.
I think Jalen would get LA calls and be on the FT line 8-10 times a game and everyone would stick it to Stone. I’d still get them to take Jalen for Reeves and Finney-Smith.
I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories so I don’t think the NBA is rigged but there is without a doubt some very sketchy events that have transpired.

Been saying it for years. Luka only netted one first rounder while Giannis will bring the Bucks 4 and pick swaps. Too obvious. Those betting on draft positioning should sue....but the NBA gets away with it because the disclaimer states it's sports entertainment. Just like WWE.
0% chance it’s rigged. You want proof, then either explain or show me a video of how you can rig ping pong balls. You won’t because there is no way to do it.
