Given how this is unfolding I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow Israel and Iran made amends in response Trump’s Gulf visit. There are many vocal antisemites in right wing circles who are going to be in open conflict with Semitic right wing thought leaders. I would be extremely surprised if our policy toward Israel is any different despite this grandiose overture to the Gulf states. It’s all theater. I expect Israel to try to take out the Iranian nuclear program by the end of the Summer with either our blessing or our outright support. And now that the gulf states have billions in US arms they’ll feel less vulnerable to the aftermath or their own populaces.
.. lol literally just this past week Israel passed a resolution stating they're annexing large chunks of Gaza and control the Palestinian border with Egypt with the blessing of the WH.
