It would be nice to make a big move .... but it has to make sense and being honest, most of the deals being discussed don't make a whole lot of sense to me, Durant isn't the same player he was and comes with a very short window, then there's the bit about salary matching .... almost $50m in outgoing salary. That's FVV on the option along with another 3-4m. Who's your point guard (don't say Amen). Booker? That contract is toxic and he'll want the extension to match and it's arguable that Jalen is the more productive player. I don't know if swapping Green for Booker makes you any better. Giannis? He just doesn't fit this roster. He needs shooters around him, this team's best players are poor shooters - the best we have is Brooks. Probably the best of the options thrown around here .... but he'll end up in San Antonio. Ja - Memphis can keep that headache. Trae Young - Don't think he fits here. Horrible shot selection. No defense. Ime might have a meltdown on the sidelines. His shooting splits are in Jalen Green territory for his career.
Move 1: Jalen Green + #10 for Austin Reaves, Maxi Kleber and Jarred Vanderbilt. FVV/ Sheppard Reaves / Whitmore Amen / Brooks Bari / Tari Sengun / Vanderbilt or Dillon Brooks + #10 for Reaves and Kleber FVV / Sheppard Reaves / Green Amen / Whitmore Bari / Tari Sengun I think both moves would be advantageous and I would especially like to get rid of Brooks now and try one more season to build Jalen's value up for a future move.
If San Antonio is looking to trade the #2 pick and assuming it doesn’t get them Giannis, what would be your trade offer if the Rockets are interested?
People sleeping on Derrick White. Hes 100% gonna be a target for us and im betting Ime would overpay to get him
It seems Cleveland believe the trains they’re failing is because if their size. They’re undersized from 1-3 and they feel that it get exploited come playoff time. Maybe we can get involved and get Garland in exchange for Tari? No Cleveland isnt interesting in trading Mitchell,so please don’t. im a fan of Tari but between the limited play because of the back to back and Ime not really expanding or maximizing his playing time in the postseason becaue of trust issues, what’s the point of keeping him? Cam can play the 3
Houston Rockets Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -13.9 ppg, -3.1 rpg, and +0.4 apg. Incoming Players Derrick White 30 year old, 6-4, 190 lb G from Colorado 16.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.8 apg in 33.9 minutes in 2024-2025 Outgoing Players Jalen Green 23 year old, 6-4, 186 lb SG from NBA G League Ignite 21.0 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.4 apg in 32.9 minutes in 2024-2025 Cam Whitmore 20 year old, 6-7, 230 lb F from Villanova 9.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 16.2 minutes in 2024-2025
Bro, if it sound and looks ridiculous, don’t waste your time responding to it. Boston would take that deal ina heart beat. Probabaly flip it
He would be an interesting acquisition, and I think he would go well with the team. However, the Rockets still would need some playmaking elsewhere.
The only reason Boston is trading Derrick White is money. This trade costs them money and we get the best player. Boston won't go for it.
2 deals: Dillon Brooks to Sacramento for Malik Monk Sacramento balances their roster a little by adding Brooks. Brooks is a better fit alongside Sabonis, LaVine and Derozan IMO. Regardless, Keon Ellis is their future at the 2. Id be willing to throw some draft compensation their way to grease the wheels on this one. Monk is a more consistent scorer and a better facilitator than Green and he is just hitting his prime. Jalen Green + pick 10 to Charlotte for Jusuf Nurkic, Josh Okogie and pick 4 Charlotte gets a guy they can call a star to slip in between Ball and Brandon Miller. Ball-Green-Miller-Bridges-Williams with health can make the play in and has potential moving forward. The Rockets dump Jalen's salary in order to move up for VJ Edgecomb who would have a year under Monk and Okogie to get his feet wet. I think this is the right mix moving forward for the Rockets. Thoughts? FVV/Reed Monk/Okogie/Edgecomb Amen/Eason/Whitmore Smith/Eason/Whitmore Sengun/Adams
Houston Rockets Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -15.7 ppg, -7.6 rpg, and -0.8 apg. Amen is off limits. This is a ridiculous trade. Cleveland doesn’t want to trade Mitchell but they would do this deal in a second.
Like it as long as we trade FVV and mulitiple picks for another shooting 3&D player. FVV is the problem with our offense more so than Jalen. Amen/Reed Monk/Okogie/draft pick Return for FVV Jabari Sengun.
