No, I meant asking about Tatum. The Celtics have new owners, and maybe they will do something stupid and trade him.

    10. Houston Rockets: Carter Bryant, F, Arizona

It’s difficult to envision another young player attempting to crack a tight Ime Udoka rotation — Reed Sheppard and Cam Whitmore spent this season observing — but in Bryant, the Rockets would have a plug-and-play 3-and-D wing. Houston’s lack of floor spacing was apparent during the playoffs, and Bryant, who shot 37.1 percent from 3 at Arizona this season, is more than capable. His activity at the other end alone aligns perfectly with Udoka’s core beliefs.

There are some similarities in terms of defensive playmaking with current wing Tari Eason, but Bryant is probably a better ballhandler with a high ceiling. Houston is big on upside plays, and at 6-8 with legit two-way potential, it would be hard to pass up on Bryant. — Kelly Iko

I'd say only Paolo, Chet, and JDub are CLEARLY better than Jabari. All the others are debatable. Daniels is a limited offensive player. Ivey, Mathurin, and Braun aren't good at defense. None of these guys are two-way like Jabari.

If we did a re-draft now, Jabari would likely be picked in the range of 4-10. Of course, most of these guys are still young. The re-draft may look different a year from now.

Look, his shooting was abysmal last year and while he did step it up in the playoffs, that didn't change my concerns there. However, when he was injured we took a MAJOR step backwards and it was pretty clear out integral he was to our team. If we are going to try to start Reed Shepherd we have to be willing to accept that we'll lose a lot more games. And maybe that's fine in the interest of the greater good. But I feel like lots of y'all would struggle with that.

We struggled because other players got injured too not just FVV. In fact his comeback game we also still lost cuz he missed majority of his shots and played like ****.

I am ok bringing him back but only at the right price. One story I read said FVV wants 30M a year lol bruh miss me with that. We can get Quentin Grimes and Ty Jerome with that money.

Mathurin and Ivey better than Jabari? lol.Murray????

Murray who is 24 and shot 30% from 3 while being a worse defender?

You just got a list of his draft class.

Everyone is so mad at Jalen flopping hard in the playoffs but nobody gives Jabari credit for locking the F in and balling out. Jabari shot 45% from 3 and 68% TS too bad Udoka doesnt like seeing players score and kept benching him when he got hot.

Sorry but what does this prove? It’s not like they allowed team representatives to look at all the balls inside the machine.

yeah only casuals are out here saying Jabari isn’t a good player.

I really hope Rockets start prioritizing Jabari next season. He needs 6-8 3PA a game moving forward

NBA is edited for viewership… plain and simple.

Referee’s do more than their part.

only way to beat the league is by snatching the victory via Superman efforts.

so you’re telling me if we trade Jalen to LA we have an astronomical chance of getting the #1 pick in next year’s draft

Some of the balls are slightly weighted

Look at the way the playoffs are shaping up in both conferences. You just can’t never take a year for granted. This would have been a perfect year for the Rockets to do something special.

Another thought on parity... Maybe the league should change the scheduling to be similar to the NFL where the division winners get matched up against other division winners.

So basically everyone would get matched up with their counterparts from the previous year. If you finished 2nd in the division, then you get scheduled to play all 3 of the #2 teams in the opposite conference, and then play the other #2 teams from your own conference. Maybe you play those other 2 inter-conference teams twice instead of once.

So basically taking 7 games in the schedule and forcing the good teams to have a tougher schedule, and the weaker teams get an easier schedule. (These games would be over and above the normal matchups)

NBA would love these extra divisional winner matchups, they could come up with a name for these games and put them in prime tv slots, adding value to the tv package for more $$$.

I don’t really disagree with you. But this group showed some nice flashes and I was willing to see how far away we looked before deciding which all-in move we make. Which I hope was the front office’s plan… but who knows. In any case, they blew their chance to do something special at home in Game 7. We got as good a look as I’m willing to take at this particular coach/roster combo, and I hope we take a big swing.
