Who are some inexpensive Jalen Green replacements that can be had?

Stone is prideful that's why he won't work the phone lines. Morey is a used car salesman that tells you what you want to hear while selling you a lemon.

 

So ironic to hear the name Grimes when we should have drafted him instead of JC. Huge miss by Stone.

 

So we expect them to take Jalen Green, who most around here think isn't very good, and give us Poole, a 1st-rounder, and a 1st-round swap?

There are names I would take over Jalen green for sure . But , you wouldn't wanna pay a lot for them

 

He has negative value actually, because of the contract. He actually has value as a player, but not at that contract. Most of the "inexpensive replacements" are paid fairly, so to get them the other team would have to give up multiple of them to afford Jalen - why would you do that if you're them?

 

I don't think Jalen's worthless but he's worth less than those two guys. There's just nothing in it for Chicago and Miami. If Herro and White were approaching 30 years old I could see it happening.

The only positive to how utterly pathetic Jalen is, is that whoever you replace him with will have a pretty easy job of being better for this team than Jalen.

 

A protected FRP and MAYBE a FRP swap.

I'm thinking folks on CF are still a little sore about an awful first playoff series.... which is fair but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and teams like Washington may gamble on the upside. For them it may cost them one of their biggest contracts in place for a similar, higher upside contact and a protected pick. Jalen objectively improved this regular season but I think it's clear he's not going to be a star on the Rockets.

In addition to knocking down J's and playing good D, our two needs to be able to handle the ball a good amount...ala Booker or Herro.

We would just need to get The Jalen Defense Squad in the room with these other GMs to explain to them that our franchise doesn’t know how to use Jalen properly and that if they would just use him how these message board experts advise them than Jalen would actually be a steal in a trade.

Derrick White would be a fantastic addition. He's at low 30m per right now. (Basically same price as Jalen). An immediate upgrade. Two way guard, can playmake in addition to shoot.

For the same money, why not get someone who's consistent. By the time these guys (Jalen or Derrick) is at the end of their contracts there could be other options. They have to be worth it while they are here, and less about the what-ifs and the contract after that. The potential part starts to matter less after the pay bump. Then becomes results oriented.
