The Rockets are a meritocracy. You win the minutes. It may take a while to prove one is better than an incumbent, but it is possible.

I'd use this pick on a Cam replacement and add Cam to whatever trade package we put together. Kon would be so good on this team but that's almost impossible at 10. Wouldn't mind throwing in minor assets to move up. Otherwise, Jakucionis or Fears would be my pick. Would really hate Jase Richardson or Danny Wolf.

I like Knueppel (that's what she said) because he can shoot, but I see very little reason to keep the pick.

I'm sure we're moving this pick in a big deal, and as part of that, I hope get back a late first for Walter Clayton Jr.

Picking as is, I like Fears.

Absolutely don't want Kon or Maluach...

I don't see Victor staying healthy or Fox shooting enough... it would be a weird fit to me and the coaching is unproven.

No way this kid is available at 10. I was hoping he’d fall but I’m leaning towards trading it.

Why not trade up and go get him then?

    There's no need to panic.

We have most of our team FIVE years away from their prime.

Jabari, Tari, Sengun, Sheppard, Amen, etc.

All these guys will be a lot better 5 years from now.

    Giannis will be 35
Kyrie and Brow guy will be ancient
Victor might be retired for health reasons

It's basically Cooper Flagg and IF Victor is healthy versus like 5 guys we have.

I'm skeptical of the spurs coaching and ability to develop talent. Mavs seem to not have a smart person running personnel.

Bro is closer to James Wiseman than he is Rudy Gobert. Very questionable motor and instincts. His best skill is being 7-2.

    If we keep the pick…
Thomas Sorber is the way to go. Fundamentally smart 2 way big. Rebounds matter. Not a monster but should have a highly functional career with his size, skills and motor. His shooting ability will translate. 4/5 is a need because Adams is URF agent that is looking for the last big signing. I am hoping it is not with us because I like our youth more than him. A backup center should not get in the way of retaining our rookies.

sure…. And even if that’s true why would you pick any team over Wemby especially once they can give the best package with the number 2 pick

If Bryant were ready to play, Dillon would be the clear choice to trade. You might even know that by the time summer league is over.

Sorber deserves a solid look. His frame (6'9 262 with a 7'6 wingspan with 9'1 standing reach) is legit.

The way people think Khaman is Rudy is truly funny because these two cannot be more different (Khaman’s O is way ahead of his D at this point, which has a ton of ??? despite his massive size)

Yeah I’m low on Jase and Danny too.

Reed is a better prospect than Jase and Danny is too turnover prone, plays bad defense and can’t shoot

Gosh I completely forgot about Carter Bryant lol. Would prolly consider just pick him at 10. Prime riser candidate in the next month. Dude is a stud.

Have you guys thought about OKC last year? When every one thought they’d trade out of that 12th pick, they went the other way and made the pick. Sure Topic was injured and it made the circumstance different. But a good player / prospect is a good player / prospect.

I actually think we’d have a fair amount of chance to keep the pick. The default mode of the market is to rip off the Rockets somehow. Guess what, Im going to do exactly the opposite.

Kon Knueppel or to get Liam McNeeley

Not sure how practical this is, but it seems like there is a possibility of the framework:

    To Hornets:
    Jalen Green
    #10

    To Rockets:
    Josh Green + salary filler
    #4 (Edgecombe)

Get a couple 2-way players who can shoot. I'd be willing to throw in Cam Whitmore if they balk.

Knueppel and Maluach seemed to be gone by then barring a Cam like fall.....
