Our biggest moves are often out of the blue lol. Like Harden out of nowhere and then CP3 out of nowhere...

We're going to wake up one day and Ja Morant is going to be a Rocket or something.

Edit: I'm not saying that's what I want to happen before someone reminds me he's often hurt and when he's not, he's pretending to be a gang banger. Just pointing out that yeah,, if we make a big deal it might be someone we might not even expect at this point.

I don't know if the Celtics could get Giannis as part of a 3 team swap but he's a perfect replacement for Tatum

Booker is actually 4 days older than Jaylen Brown believe it or not.

Yea for some reason I thought Jaylen Brown had 3 years left on his deal. Didn't realize it was 5 fully guaranteed years. Damn. That's a bloated contract.

I wouldn't be shocked if they kicked the tires on Brown, but this offseason wouldn't be the ideal time to trade for him (last year would've been ideal).

Our cap is potentially screwed starting next year as is. With Brown's new extension, I'm not sure that's enough of an upgrade to trade for him.

    White for
    Tari + Cam + Holiday + Landale + Jeenathan

    works cap wise

Gives BOS some young, cost-controlled assets and we get our SG

He doesn't make that much of a difference. I'd rather go hard after Giannas

This is all I want from Boston, no to Jaylen Brown or Jrue

That's how it was with Morey at the helm. We actually don't know how Stone operates because he's never had to be a wartime GM before. The off-season where we signed FVV and Dillon was the closest thing we've had to that, and those moves felt pretty telegraphed from the start. I remember reading articles of our interest in Dillon like a full 4-6 weeks before the off-season even began.

I remember listening to the radio every day after school to see if the Rockets signed Gary Payton. He used us as leverage.
Then I remember Damon Stoudamire doing the same. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

HOU on every single list simply because the market expects us to.

What makes sense for them is to dump Jrue for cap space, and let White and Pritchard fill that role. I'd pass on Jrue pretty easily, I'm sure he has a place somewhere a bit older.

If they do much else after winning a ring last year with a core under 30, that's crazy. Let Tatum heal up and get 2-3 more cracks at a ring before they age out after 2030.

Would hate to lose Tari, but I could see a deal like this happening.

When talking contracts, it's better to think of it in terms of % of the cap. Definitely intriguing, especially if it's more pick heavy than player heavy deal.

The Rockets aren't outbidding Dallas or SA for Giannis given how the lottery landed.
