Look I understand being naive and thinking they can’t rig this especially with you wanting to believe but at this point you are just not a smart person if you believe the nba is real.

we all know with our own eyes that the refs rig outcomes live during games as it is… And now with this, there is just too much evidence of things that are just so improbable it can’t be a natural thing and it has now happened over and over and over again, always benefiting the major markets and ultimately the NBAs bottom line. Literally, it’s 100% rigged if you don’t believe it, you’re dumb.

 

I don't think it's impossible to rig. I think there's a decent chance that it is. But there is nothing they could do, literally nothing, that would appease the "it's rigged" crowd. Whether it is rigged or not, the same people will always say "it is obviously rigged for anyone who is SMART and has their eyes OPEN". It can never be enough. And on top of that, it will always be funny to me when the "it's definitely rigged" crowd frequently make suggestions on how to make it fair, and the suggestion is something they are already doing.

 

Has anyone heard of pure luck? Hawks had a 3% chance last year and won it.

Sometimes it rolls on the least favor.

I just had a brilliant idea.

You give each team a piece of paper and have them write their team name on it at the same time.

They each fold it twice, and put it in a ping pong ball cage (where the paper won't fall out).

Then each team starting with the worst reaches in and pulls out a piece of paper without looking and holds it up for all to see.

That's the draft order 1 - 14.

F odds! F records! You're a bottom 14 team you get 1 sheet and that's it. 7% odds. Deal with it.

Not vouching for Ernst & Young, but Enron was Arthur Anderson.

 

Nothing is going to stop teams from tanking. Just go in reverse record order and reward the tank to balance parity in the league. Not only does that end the rigging talk, but it makes things much clearer for trades and the like throughout the season.

 

That the draft was rigged, as well as the Luka trade. Its business it makes sense. The Lakers are not going through the draft again picking Lonzo Ball, Russell, and Ingrams of the league. So they're set with Luka for the next decade, Dallas gets Cooper and everyone is alright. I don't think the games are rigged, you still gotta make shots etc. But behind close doors where they discuss the business part of it, definitely. Even if you go back 10 or so years ago, the Cavs had 3 first picks in 4 years, preparing everything for LeBron to come back, they've traded Wiggins for Kevin Love and boom the show goes on.

Goggle directs to Wikipedia which states that EY was not directly involved. They alongside PriceWaterhouseCooper performed routine accounting tasks to "create the illusion" that firms other than Anderson were involved. EY was fined $100 mil in 2022 for cheating their workers out of commissions, so its not like they're clean.

Sorry if I'm being pedantic. The Enron/AA debacle had a significant impact on my life which makes me sensitive to the facts.
