You wouldn't if you were a Sonics fan.

Stern is the more easily proven despicable of the two.

He was supposed to still be in high school last year, but he was a first team All-American at one of the most storied basketball programs in the nation. Helped his team get to the Final Four. and he was 17 years old for the first half of the season.

Hard to imagine that anyone is able at this point to say how high his ceiling is, but I definitely wouldn't bet against him getting a few first team All-NBA awards during his career.

That's just it. He's so impossibly advanced for his age it's unreal.

Did you see Cooper Flagg expression on his face?

It was like, "great, I'm going to have to carry AD and Kyrie as they wear suits most of the time."

I hope they'd install a rule for rigging next time, you can't rig the year you trade off your franchise player.

And the restricted time should be 2-5 years.

Wemby demanded the Spurs because of the Tony Parker French connection. SA has become Europe’s team as a result like the Rockets became China’s team. The only thing surprising about yesterday was the NBA’s brazenness in this year’s lottery. I wonder how many NBA owners have ties to the gambling industry.

The difference is that China ain't that good in Basketball, they were recruiting Kyle Anderson as if he was a superstar.....

Half of China are still Kobe and Laker fans.... Europe is big though.

Luka, Shai, Jokic, Giannis plus Steph, Antman, Lebron all in the West....Wemby, Chet and Flagg..that is beyond insane.

No for Lebron and Bronny. Then Lebron retires one year later.

I don't understand how people here are seriously discussing whether the NBA should rig the draft.
Rigging the draft is absolutely unacceptable. Making secret deals behind closed doors is unacceptable.

Maybe the NBA should focus less on boosting viewership numbers and more on preserving the integrity of the game—before the entire league turns into a complete mess.

Outside the U.S., fans watch for real rivalries, strong team culture, and honest competition. If the NBA continues down this path, it risks losing that global respect.

I don’t see how it is puzzling. Spurs are now Europe’s team and Philadelphia is a huge TV market.

From the Rockets and all the smaller markets like Utah perspective......

The Spurs have been blessed with Robinson, Duncan and now Wemby and Harper.

The puzzling part is not that they are Europe's market but there is no parity when it comes to the Spurs.

If they discovered more players like Ginobili or Scola, then yes, that is a noble way.

Yes, because bingo makes such compelling TV. Do you understand how long the entire process takes?

But everyone knows what it is. So basically, you're saying this is wrestlemanial and you're upset by the outcome of a match? Ok. Does wrestling have companies certifying the outcome?

Agree that preserving the integrity of the game is what's most important. I'd reason that the decline in NBA viewership and popularity is because of how the NBA has handled the integrity of the game - from the draft, to creating faux dynasties like the Warriors with the help of some shady officiating. The past decade has seen a lot of the NBA fanbase move on to other things of interest, and I don't blame them.

Unless Adam Silver suddenly passes away tomorrow and the NBA owner's circle mans up and decides that transparency and integrity should be the focus, nothing will change. Silver has already sold his soul to the devil, and with all the sports betting/gambling partnerships that Silver has created now, it's only going to get worse from here.

Adam Silver is a great commissioner who does what is best for the success of the NBA. We all are upset that he rigged the lottery, but it needed to be done for league survival. You don’t want to be watching playoff basketball on TBS at noon on workdays (like MLB). The sport we love is because of Silver and nobody else. Luca to Lakers is a prime time move and certainly evens out the trade when it ends up being Doncic for Davis and Flagg. Wembly is the next mega superstar and nobody wants to see him playing with a bunch of scrubs….last night and last year helps to speed up the process and ultimately will save the future of the NBA. Silver is doing what his job demands which is keeping this league relevant!!!

When will the rockets catch a break or have something rigged for them then?

Adam Silver is turning NBA into wrestlemania. Almost scripted. This can be considered as a genius move or disaster depending on what you want to see from the game. I think i am pretty much done with the NBA and will only watch euroleage from now on. I want to see real competition officiated by honest referees

Didn't need to, we're a big market team that had no problem getting superstars. From Drexler, Barkley, Pippen, Tracy, Dwight, CP. All we had to do is to be competitive
