It's a shame to see Tatum go down with what is most likely a torn ACL....but if we are talking about silver linings - this is DEFINITELY one.

Yeah, I bet. But I just saw Lillard not react like that. Durant didn't. Kobe didn't. Some of them looked confused, concerned or something.

    EDIT: [IMG]
    That's after the injury.

I'm sure there are more painful looking Achilles injuries, but that's why it was weird to see Tatum writhing in pain.

2025 was the year to push more chips in and try to win it all. This was it. A significant oversight by the Rockets' front office. Stone mentioned that everyone needed to get better. I couldn't agree more.

The Rockets have all their assets, but they are sitting at home while other teams are limping into the final stages of the playoffs.

Yeah but there are different grades with significantly different pain levels and recovery times....also - the ugly secret you won't hear discussed on air is a lot of those guys use Toradol shots as they age in high leverage moments/playoffs. Your perception of pain will be a lot different while on Toradol than off it. That would certainly explain how older Durant/Kobe/Dame had a vastly different experience than Tatum...it's kind of sad actually.

We are not beating OKC, Denver or Minny with Durant though.

We won't beat a healthy Warriors with Durant. We don't need these late-thirties hags who still think they're hot-****. It's Giannis or bust for the Rockets this offseason.

Can't believe the Knicks have a legit shot at making the finals this year lol.

The thing I hate most about this draft...the west gets STRONGER.

Instead of Flagg going to the Wizards or Hornets to hopefully add another young team in the East that could start building something, he goes to a team that barely and likely only missed the playoffs because of injuries and the Spurs a team that also was knocked out because of injuries got the #2 pick lol.

I would find if hilarious if the "most overrated player" wins the championship. But I expect that the finals will be a blowout by the Sonics

Well this sure screwed up Silver's plans to revive the Lakers Celtics rivalry.

I remember Isiah Thomas comparing his Achilles injury to being shot in the leg with a cannon.

@glimmertwins Has the best explanation with the pain killers especially since those dudes were older when they tore their Achilles and Tatum likely isn't on the pain killer yet.

Why is it taking so long to confirm the injury?

Celtics were going to lose this series anyway but this Tatum injury is an extra kick in the nuts for Celtics fans. That team is going to look way different next season. Any pieces we want from them?
