Dude you got balls saying you'd trade Sengun for Herro and Bam lol, they tried to get my entire bloodline assassinated for saying I'd trade him for a 2x MVP and champion...

I can see a Giannis deal where we send out Jalen, Sengun, Tari, Holiday, all of the Suns picks, and the Dallas pick for him and Kuzma, not because I want Kuz, but because he would be matching salary and the Bucks would probably want to be rid of him. If you do that and use the full MLE on Brook Lopez, you could run out the following lineup:

    PG: VanVleet / Sheppard
    SG: Thompson / Whitmore
    SF: Brooks / Kuzma
    PF: Antetokounmpo / Smith
    C: Lopez / Landale

You've got to surround Amen and Giannis with shooters, hence my preference for Lopez versus just resigning Steven Adams.

The cost of Giannis himself then the cost to upgrade the roster around him…just can’t.

For ***** & giggles, let’s just say Sengun, Smith, Sheppard, Whitmore (2 “blue chip” prospects, 2 guys in the doghouse/unknown. Who knows, maybe they want Tari instead of Cam. The picks are the picks, whatever.)

Oh, you think you’re getting him for just Sengun or just Jalen and Dillon or just Sengun and Dillon or Fred and [choose a prospect]? LOL Be for real.

    Fred | Aaron(TO)
    Jalen | NateWill
    Dillon
    Amen | Tari
    Giannis | Adams | Jock ($8M NG) — (I’ll even throw in a re-signed Adams)

Is that good enough? Is that better than what’s he leaving?

    Holiday-Middleton-Tucker-Giannis-Lopez (won title)
Holiday-Allen-Matthews-Giannis-Lopez (lost to Celtics 4-3 in second round)
Holiday-Allen-Middleton-Giannis-Lopez (lost to Heat 4-1 in first round)
Lillard-Bev-Middleton-Portis-Lopez (lost to Pacers 4-2 in first round)
Lillard-Trent-Kuzma-Giannis-Lopez (lost to Pacers 4-1 in first round)

    2025-26: age 31 ($54,126,450)
    2026-27: 32 ($58,456,566)
    2027-28: 33 ($62,786,682 — player option)
    2028-29: 34
    2029-30: 35

That team has about a 2 year window before triggering a rebuild.

Whut? The only guys in that lineup over 30 are VanVleet and Lopez. If Reed is who you hope he is, then you're just shopping for a backup PG and a starting C in two or three years. Considering that the Rockets retain all of their own picks in my proposal, you should be able to replenish those two positions.

Lopez is 37, Giannis who derives 100% of his basketball value from freak athleticism is about to be 31, FVV is 31 and already the least efficient scoring full time starting PG in the league, Dillon Brooks is about to turn 30 and he's already the least efficient scoring full time starting SF in the league.

This team effectively has no Center depth, no PF depth, and is reliant on a 37 year old Center to be the only shooting in the starting lineup.

    In short, it's a disaster

Yeah I would trade Sengun for Giannis then use Fred & Dillons contracts to help get someone else.

After whatever trades are made. Rockets have to keep & develop their shooters(Reed, Cam, & Jabari) along with Amen.

Do you have any idea how dumb it is to say build around anything that contains KD who turns 37 prior to the start of next season?

No I would not take Bam & Herro for Alpi. I also am not trading 22 year old Alpi for soon to be 31 year old Giannis.

I'm surprised to see that you said this, and even more surprised to see people agreeing with you. Yall think Jalen Williams is a significantly better prospect and a tier above Sengun? To the point that Sengun + stuff is a perfectly reasonable trade for Giannis, but Jdub + stuff is not a reasonable trade package for Giannis?

In no way is Williams better than Alp. Great player, but not on Alp level

When I say build, I mean a roster and bench of shooters. You can bold his age all you want, and I capped SIGNIFICANTLY when I talked about shortening the window, but the fact is it's a needle mover and gives you a real shot at winning the title in the next 2-3 seasons. You can call it dumb all you want, but that's a ****ing good roster. If the Rockets are serious about trading for Giannis, then you aren't concerned with your 7 year outlook. You want multiple titles inside the next 4 years.

Jalen Williams is a heavily optimized 1B who's notorious for missing wide open shots.

Whoever is comparing him to Sengun is not being fair. Sengun's life would be so easy with SGA and Chet. Jalen Williams would struggle so much here imo.

Did GS have to double him? Not DOWN PLAYING his contributions but if I'm a NBA coach, no way will I double team him. He's only shooting 2 pt shots!

Every other team in the NBA is playingnfor 3pt shots, why double team him? If he shoot his avg inside and I shoot my avg at the 3pt line.....I win every time.

With Giannas, even though they play the same game, the court is more open, he can PENETRATE and get his 2pt shot, whereas Sengun has to camp down low in the paint

THIS IS WHY CLUTCH SHOULD HAVE A BBALL IQ TEST BEFORE JOINING!

I'm sorry but I had to come back to this!! So, you are saying Giannas does not improve the team but also you are saying we could not play Amen?? Who is one of, if not our best 2-way player.
