He needed to jump to secure the bucket and not rely on reach or height. But Green and sometimes Looney were allowed to grab and jabb at him. Warriors can cheat like that.

Dude you’re really extra lmfao. Sengunatic like ATW.

I’ve been hyped about amens potential since midway of season.

I already explained how I don’t view Sengun as having elite potential due to his ceiling.

He’s elite as posting up and passing. Idk what he does to get much better as his shooting deficiency looks locked into place.

He once likened a crtiicism on Greens on court performance to a drive by

Crazy because he's by far the least talented and least skilled of all our 1st round picks. His basketball IQ is a little higher than Jalen or Cam's but not by much. He's basically a tall shooter and OK rebounder who can't figure out how to get open.

Agreed but the best teams aren't winning because their centers are hitting 3s - they win because the guards and wings hit the threes. You can absolutely win without Alpi being a 3 point threat, which is why he should be treated as untouchable other than for a top 1-10 guy.

Untouchables? lmao, that only matters if actual trades are happening.

Stone is just going to run it back like he has every year.

you’re not just a troll, but a low effort one at that…I remember when trolls at least had some creativity

I would ask what a profile pic has to do with anything, but with all the dumb sh*t you’ve said already in this thread, I doubt you’d be able to answer coherently.

People often confuse "best player on our team" with "untouchable". The reality is no one is untouchable here until we have a true #1. That's the lesson we learned this year in the playoffs - that Jalen and Alpi were exposed as not being good enough. Jalen doesn't have the bball IQ to be a primary and Alpi doesn't have the range so GS was more than happy to trade tough contested 2s shooting over Draymond with their 3s.

There was no foundational star in the 2024 Draft, was one in the 2023 draft(Wemby), one in the 2022 draft(Paolo), one in the 2021 draft(Cade). We did't have the option to draft any of those players. While it was possible we could have picked better(Mobley or Barnes would have been better picks compared to Green's value, Jalen Williams in 2022 over Jabari), even if we made different moves, we STILL wouldn't have a #1 because those guys looks like 2nd options similar to what we already have with Sengun.

That's the thing with the NBA draft though - you just need to look at each pick as asset value and figure out how you can maximize the value of that pick so you can use it to get what you really want later on. That's where we are with Jalen and Sengun, and Jabari, and Tari, etc. Certainly you aren't giving those guys away, but trading those guys to upgrade for real stars is the goal here. We need to have asset flexibility be able to make that move - that's what netted us our last star in Harden. Keep a stream of good young players who have more growth in them(check), keep a diverse mix of draft pick assets(check), and keep some team friendly larger contracts on the books to facilitate the star moves(check). Now is time to make the franchise defining move and find that players and do what it takes to get it done because if you want a title, you have to be willing to sacrifice anything to win everything.

You can win without Alpi being a 3pt threat - but then he has to be UBER efficient in the paint like Giannis. Sengun is good, but he isn't that and he is terrible as a FT shooter too. Alpi has to be good enough to demand triple teams in the paint to make the "surround him with shooters" thing work. The Warriors just defended him with Draymond most of the series - that's not exactly the stuff of untouchable/'force the help' dreams is it?

Side note - I'll never understand why Jalen gets so much hate from Rockets fans when Jabari & Alpi aren't exactly dominating either and yet combined they get half of the hate Jalen does.

Let's be honest... nobody is truly "untouchable"

If Matt Lloyd calls up Stone and says give me Sengun and Amen and I'll give you Ant, see ya later guys!

I'd prefer to hang onto Amen, Sengun, Jabari, and Reed if possible, but anyone can be had for the right price. Cam, too... I'm curious about him, and would love to see him back after this offseason. I think this a huge offseason for that young man. But, evaluating talent and figuring this stuff out is why the front office people are paid the big bucks, while we waste our lives away on these boards :D
