He is on the right track. Constantly working on flaws of his game and getting better.

He is a 22 years old center who spent whole year in top 10 in MVP ladder. Just needs to hone his offense, work on his shot and believe in himself. He is a talented and hard working guy. I believe in his success.

I think you're missing the point here, nobody is saying it's impossible to give defensive effort and also be efficient. It's given as a reason for Sengun because he is fat and out of shape (relatively speaking to other NBA players). Players who are in shape can give 100% on both ends of the court. Fat guys with poor conditioning cannot, and typically have to either get in shape or only give effort on one end. We saw Sengun through 3 years be an all-offense no-defense player, and he was an efficient scorer. He went all in on defensive effort this season and I think it's reasonable to suspect it impacted his offense. That's not an excuse, it's just an observation. He shouldn't be excused for it. He needs to improve his conditioning so that he can be effective on both ends. But I think it's important to realize that he has been a very efficient player prior to this year, which is not the same as a guy who has been inefficient for his entire career.

Sengun has shown improvement in one area or another season after season. While I dont think hes a number 1 option im very open to being wrong about that given what hes accomplished and the way he takes on challenges.

The Rockets arent even optimally set up to make him most effective and he still finds ways to make things happen. Against the warriors they did all kinds of things to negate him and he still found ways to be a positive impact mostly.

But even if his ceiling offensively is a second or even a third option hes still someone you can consider being a part of a contending team. For where he was picked thats a big win.

He is #1 in all playoff stats:
    Points, rebounds, asists...
What do we expect more from a player?
His offensive efficiency dropped because of offseason physical regime change and his concentration on defense.
Do you really believe Rockets would take #2 seed without Alpi's defense? No chance..

I believe Sengun is the last thing we need to concentrate..
Our problem is Jalen and Jalen fans.
This team goes nowhere with Jalen as starting SG..
He is at best 6 or 7th bench player in a contending team.. punto

Sengun has average stamina correct. But we see many elite athletes struggle and can't reach their usual peak in offense due to playoff intensity and tempo (sga, Tatum etc)

I believe you need to manage your stamina and it comes with experience. Most superstars concentrate in one aspect of the game mostly and play lockdown defense only when needed and in clutch. Yes he needs to improve and be more efficient with his energy but we relied too much on him both in offense and defense since no one else showed up in many games. He is gassed while trying to give his all with good will. His low self confidence and young age didn't help neither.

Bottom line, we need to try to build him, not brake him. He'll thrive if he is well supported and if he continues to work hard.

Lol, yes, I'm not going to lie like you. The problem here really is that your original statement is still dumb and you were hoping you could lie to give your dumb statement more credibility.... but it is still facially absurd. You can try to tell me how you were European footballer of the year and it won't change that.

So, I'll play along, congratulations for playing at Johnny Buckwheat Junior College, what you said was still really dumb.

He either works on his three, or he gets traded.

300 d1 hoops, 15 players =4500 out of millions. Top 50 in Houston area out of hundreds of thousands and you're calling it Jr buckwheat ball? Ok, little lame guy. Argue with yourself and your non athletic existence.

Yeah, pretty much might as well be. About 1% of those are good enough to even be benchwarmers in the NBA for a few seasons before washing out.

So in short, you don't have authority to appeal to... and even if you did, it wouldn't make your feeble minded hot take any more valid.
