Mobley is ok but he is now making 46M and will make up to 61M when his contract runs out. The new salaries make it so you can be a really good player and still be overpaid (Jaylen Brown, Devin Booker etc). Maybe the Rockets did indeed whiff on Green but I rather clear his salary and start over fresh then get stuck with Mobley and having to pay him supermax. Mobley means no Sengun and no Amen as well, and I value those guys more than Mobley. I am happy with how things panned out overall.
Amen is about to get paid more than Mobley but yeah I’ve been saying the same thing Sengun & Amen > Mobley
Mobley is a great NBA player, far better than Green. He wouldn't solve our fundamental issue of not having a go to scoring option.
Cleveland about to get bounced again by a team with one player better than all of their players. Mobley might be the 5th or 6th best player in this series.
Amen can only be paid as much as Mobley, Mobley got paid the super max and he got boosted by incentive due to winning DPOY. Mobley is a good role player making the super max lol you can't just pay super max to a dude who cant score on his own..
The Rockets love wasting money. Been doing it for years. Don't see any changes in the foreseeable future.
Lots of teams get disappointing results every year. Look Cavs and Boston may end up with early exits. In comparison Rox first round disappointment aint that bad. Imagine winning 60+ games and then getting owned by the Pacers.

Y does mobley mean no Sengun or Amen? We were literally stock piling picks because we were worst team in the league. I think we just get best available players.
That’s not the point. If we trade Mobley, it’s highly unlikely we trade two FRPs for another bigman. And Mobley obviously changes the dynamic of the team so much that it’s impossible to know where we end up in the 2023 draft.

Because Stone doesnt have super powers and he wouldnt know Sengun is gonna be the 2nd best player in 2021 class? We drafted Sengun cuz we picked Green second, if we picked Mobley second why will Stone trade for Sengun he probably gets a guard or a shooting wing to complement Mobley like Trey Murphy. Amen was obtained with the Rox being the worst team in the league Mobley was really good from day 1 I doubt we have the same odds and we wont get Amen.
I really always despise the hindsight stuff. Because it might negate the great moves that we did make. The painful thing in that draft is not coming away with Cade. But I have Amen right under Wemby as far as prospect go with the last few years. So we are fine.
Would probably rank them 1. Wemby 2a/2b. Amen/Cooper (truthfully I think these two are ahead of Wemby fwiw) 3. Paolo 4. Chet 5. Sengun 6. Williams 7. Cade 8. Mobley 9. Franz 10. Miller
