Yes he was 1-7 from 3 at the time of my message and had an inefficient night up to that point. So your post is inaccurate and deceiving.
Jalen just doesn't have any moves. He tries that little crossover at the top of the key and when that doesn't work he holds the ball for 20 seconds before giving it to Fred or Sengun essentially forcing others to chuck bad shots. He hasn't worked on passing in the pick and role so we can't rely on him to run PNR with Sengun. He hasn't worked on hitting midrange shots consistently and he gets blocked a ton on drives because he can't beat his man. Im genuinely confused on what Jalen has been doing the past 4 years. His three point percentage has marginally improved from his rookie year and his field goal percentage hasn't moved at all. The only thing I've seen or heard him do is mess around with middle aged women and have kids at 22. Now hes on the news for going to Cancun early. Has Jalen improved on anything?? (His defensive improvements I credit to Ime's scheme more than Jalen becoming a lock down defender and his defensive win shares is the lowest in the starting lineup)
Why does that matter? He didn’t shoot well and was 1-7 at that point and I noted what I saw. What happened after the fact doesn’t matter. Great for him he overcame what was heading into an inefficient night but the post was about the fact he struggled against this same defense just as in game 1 and most of game 2.
