Yeah but you just gotta think like Trump, and the timing tells you all you need to know. The news breaks that Disney/Marvel is shooting Avengers in London instead of Georgia this go around. Trump is obsessed with ABC, and Disney. One of his minions brings it to his attention, and next thing you know he's tweeting a threat to Bob Iger to double the cost of his biggest movie of 2026.

Again, he doesn't care about NFLX or anything out there in the future right at this second, and the intent here isn't really to tariff the movie industry... the intent is autocratic corruption. This is his shot right now to get Bob Iger to bend the knee with the most leverage he'll have in his presidency. Do you think he's going to waste this window of opportunity?

And yes I do think Bob Iger and Disney/Marvel will bend unfortunately. They'll think to themselves that they can just appease him now, and outlast him, but I think they will pay a huge cost if they bend the knee. Everyone on the right already hates Disney. Most normal people love some part of Disney, but if they signal they are in the tank for Trump, I would assume Disney parks especially will have a noticeable drop along with just normal recession dips.

This past week, our company had a meeting lined up to have an APAC investor come into our office in Minnesota to discuss coming into our firm as an outside investor which would DOUBLE our marketing, R&D, and product development. We'd also be getting three enterprise level accounts through the relationship which would bolster our forecast by 20%.

We are a US based professional services firm who is position in the market place is there to encourage revenue growth in other NA/US based firms... heavily focusing on manufacturing, heavy machinery, and energy.

However that investor could NOT get into the US even with their visa status cleared in nearly every other country in the world... so the meeting was called off, and now this week it's looking like that deal is one shaky ground.

Trump's policies are fcking stupid, and are hurting the United States. Period. Full stop. If you can't see that both in your personal, and professional life you are in a suicidal cult.

Tariff on services. The US is a major net exporter of services.

Perfect timing for a "negotiation" by voicing a desire put a tariff on services (not sure how one would even do that, but that's not the point).

@Invisible Fan – no, the problem wasn't diagnosed. If you had it diagnosed to any real degree or accuracy, you wouldn't be shooting yourself in the foot. Just think about the kind of Pandora’s box a tariff on services would open.

The first boats carrying Chinese goods with 145% tariffs are arriving in LA. They’re half-full. Expect shortages soon

He is all about himself and his grift. 106 days, and he's in overdrive. This doesn't include his crypto grift, business ventures, and all the Trump family money funneling to his pockets for political favors in the Middle East.

Belyng his impressive Ivy league education and wall street career, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stumbled and deflected when asked
a simple, direct question about tariffs at a congressional hearing on Tuesday.

“Who pays tariffs Mr. Secretary?” asked Representative Mark Pocan.

Bessent began to ramble on indirectly, frustrating Pocan. “Who pays tariffs? Mr. Secretary, please the question is very simply who pays tariffs. Mr. Chairman,
I’d like him to answer that question, he wants to answer other questions.”

Bessent replied shakily. “Well congressman, if the. Congressman, if the exporters, the uh, dislike tariffs so much, why wouldn’t they. If, I think what you’re trying to get me to say—”

“Did you remember the question? I’m not sure you did,” Pocan said. “Who pays tariffs?”

    ‘It’s a very complicated question.”

You see it one way, I see it a different way.

Every round of golf he is using to occupy his time; the less time he has to make a stupid decision affecting all of us.
    addition by subtraction.

Trump, in a major concession, says the tariff on China should be 80% — but will leave it up to Bessent
