The home page of chron.com is claiming that "Astros are keeping Craig Biggio but cutting Jeff Kent loose." (red box at the top that says "breaking news")

Also, if you go to the sports section, you'll see a survey about them getting rid of Kent.

I haven't found an article on it, yet.

They said they want him back as an astro at a reduced rate but let him go as a free agent...they are going to negotiate a new deal that is much cheaper...as long as he goes with it.

but if it doesn't work out they just move Biggio back to 2nd and we have room for one of our young outfielders.
