    22.9 points
    8.8 rebound
    5.4 assist

    19.1 points

That's Sengun and Giannis at the same age.

Not saying one is better than the other, just saying I don't see enough difference to give up 5 picks, cap space, and players....

Run high pick and roll with the man on our guy staying in paint forced to choose between taking Amen with ball or leaving open Giannis/Sengun under basket.

Even with a miss, you have premium rebounder in position...

    My offer:

    Jalen Green
    Cam Whitmore
    Tari Eason
    3 #1 picks

Our picks being of the Phoenix variety look to be of good vintage... far better quality than picks other teams might offer.

I want to keep reed for the shooting... he would pair well with Amen long term... i want Jabari for similar reasons and the ability to go super big lineups...

People act like he's never going to be a great 3pt shooter.

He doesn't need to be one. He just needs to be good enough a defender can't leave him open... we're talking going from 29% to about 34%. It's reasonable. He has good mechanics...

Brook Lopez didn't shopt 30% from 3 until he was 28. He wasn't even good enough to make attempts.

He shoots 35% from 3 and people act like he's some elite floor spacer.

You obviolusly can't gut the team for Giannis to come here and play with no one else. That's stupid and he wouldn't do it. Well, not unless it's with the plan to gut the team for Giannis and another star to come, but i feel like two star teams with no depth just ain't cutting it. The league is far more balanced in terms of depth overcoming two star lineups. 3 stars is overwhelming still, but unlikely to find a way to get it done unless it's homegrown.
The obvious answer is a combination of player and picks. Finding that balance where you still have a young core with loads of potential to grow alongside Giannis and some of our current core.

I feel like you need to sell Giannis on the idea of HIM being THE MAN surrounded by depth of high tier role players like OKC has set up with SGA is the way sell it. That means no gutting the team. Join the depth. Use the PHX pick, and other picks, but you have to salary match, so can you lose Reed if you have to use FVV contract, and if you lose both Reed and FVV, do you then trade Jalen or Bari or Tari etc for a starting pg?

OKC loses to Denver, and Giannis going there over us makes more sense, but i think OKC probably at minimum gets to the Finals-likely wins the title. Giannis aint that kind of man to run and jump onto a team like that. Us losing in the first round as a top 2 seed in the West is what makes us appealing above most. I think our only real competition is SAS. They already have 2 stars and ROTY. If their own pick lands high( i just did a lottery sim-Spurs won the lottery, Rockets at 9), they can use it and filler to trade for Giannis to form a big 3.
i understand OKC can win the lottery too or get a high pick plus tons of other picks and player combo to trade, but again, Giannis aint going to a team that just had all this success-68 wins and going all the way or close-unless they fall apart drastically and lose to Denver in an embarrassing way which i dont see happening.

All this said....we're going to have to listen to the media talk about every star including Giannis going to the Lakers no matter what.

How? That's literally the bucks without shooting but better defense, in the west.
We'd be lucky to make the playoffs.

Alpi is 22 and an allstar already. We are not a contender if we get Giannis but lose Alpi or Amen in the process.

Alperen Sengun is not one of the best pick-and-roll big men in the league. Not even in the conversation.

This season, he averaged just 0.94 points per possession as the roll man. In the playoffs, it dipped to 0.92. Those are rough numbers, closer to lottery-team inefficiency than playoff-caliber execution.

To put it in perspective, Nikola Jokic? He clocked in at 1.29. That’s not just a gap. That’s a canyon.

Giving up a massive haul for aging superstars is over (or should be). It's been a disaster. Neither of those proposed trades is reasonable. Especially for a team that finished 2nd in the west.

The last 3 teams to attempt this (Nets, Clippers, Suns) are all going to be miserable for years and didn't sniff a championship.

Also Giannis is the 6'11" MVP version of Amen. They basically do the same things. It would be hard to play them at the same time and have any kind of offense.

We're not trading for Giannis. I hope SAS does so they can have the amazing spacing that a Fox/Sochan/Castle/Wemby/Giannis core provides.

I think this would be a great deal for the Rockets if we can get it. It will be up to Giannis not the Bucks.

I'm guessing castle is in the deal. They may ask for Fox too given Dame may never play again.
