Bro don’t you know the Rockets front office, rockets coaching staff, warriors coaching staff and both rosters are colluding to make up this story about Jalen? He should have forced up shots inefficiently rather than passing to his 4 teammates going up against 3 defenders. That would have made a hater happy I’m sure of it.
I usually don't listen to Gil because his takes are so outlandish sometimes, but this is the first time I agree with him. Those other guys are like impatient fans who don't understand all these contenders needed time to develop, Boston took eight years. Some fans would die during that time and miss their title, Harden's OKC is a prime example of impatience blowing up a great thing. Don't panic and let them get incrementally better each season, make smaller moves if needed.
I usually dont agree with any of them but here i agree with Nick and Brandon as far as jalen not having shown that he knows how to play. Something they didnt mention was that the Celtics did bring in kyrie...they tried adding top tier talent. Also, they added KP which was a huge help to get over the hump. The Celtics didnt have a "Core 8". They had two young players that showed a ton of potential and built around them and tried different combinations of players. Sengun is the only player thats come close to the level of play that young Tatum and Brown showed. The Thunder shipped off Harden due to money issues. Had nothing to do with talent and needing to wait to see it bloom. Even if you look at "the process sixers" who had a bunch of young talent. They didnt reach their peak with all those young players they drafted. They shipped most of them off and they never did anything in the league. But they kept the Embiid who at his peak was mvp level. Jalen has been in the building 4 years. They should have a good idea of what he is and isnt.
Really just two losers hoping that Jalen’s career ends up like theirs. Haters always hope it’s not possible for others to work their way up because that just highlights that they themselves could’ve worked harder.
Right now, while Jalen stock is at it’s lowest, I want to make it clear that as long as he’s a Rocket, I will still believe in and root for him—regardless of how disappointed I was in his performance in the playoffs. He hasn’t been a bad teammate, a bad person, or a bad example for the younger guys on our team. Everyone associated with the Rockets seems to like him. Since we as fans don’t have the ability to trade players anyway, it’s pretty simple. And if Jalen does have a huge leap in development this offseason, well I may be surprised but I’ll also be incredibly happy.
I don't think there will be any more Rockets versions of your Jalen Green novel series come next season since he won't be on the team.
Giddey's OKC is a good example of how a weak leak can keep you from becoming a contender. Once they got rid of him, they had a historic season.
Thank you! It's more to basketball than just the STATS. People don't understand Jalen was doing what Ime has taught him; sacrifice for the team! Under Silas he would have took the 20+ bad shots
This offense doesn't fit him? He was one of the highest scoring rockets during the regular season. I watched him chunk up bad shots during the regular season as well. He can get his shot, but nobody was saying chunk up bad shot after bad shot. His aggressiveness went to zero. He couldn't even dribble really. It's like he forgot how to play. Jalen Green is one of the most talented athletes in the nba, but talent and skills don't matter if you are not mentally there. Every time they showed a close up of his eyes it was a blank stare. He loses focus and things seem like a dream to him. He needs a psychologist to help him through this. His anxiety has him handicapped. Even i faced this sometimes when I used to play, but I would usually snap out of it after a couple of minutes, because I would start to think, I'm better than my defender and my team needs me. Then I would string together great plays offensively and defensively. The focus would zero back in. James Harden has never addressed this and we see he has cost 3 other teams series.
Honestly, I would probably take Bradley Beal straight up for Jalen Green. I think he takes a lot of heat for the Suns failure, but I think that whole team was just a bad fit for him. He also had no true point guard in Phoenix. I always said if phoenix was going to be successful they need a point guard. Can't have a shooting guard setting up your offense, especially one that needs the ball in their hand.
He was supposed to take 36 shots to help the tank job......and gain the highest pick... Now he is still attempting 10-17 three pointers.......
