Seems the Texans have the 7th hardest schedule…. So although they aren’t in the top 5 of most difficult schedules, they are still going to have to play their tails off in every game; nothing should be easy in the NFL. Let’s just hope this OL holds up; because of it can be average, the Texans will make a lot of good noise.
Does anyone know how the Texans' Strength of Schedule (SOS) for 2024 compares to their actual SOS at the end of the season? The ranking is based on opponents’ records from the previous year, while the actual SOS would reflect how tough the schedule was. Curious to see how much it changed.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi/_/sort/fpi.avgsosrank/dir/asc Says we ended with 17th hardest (obvi TN & JAX dragged it down)
Teams with a 1st place schedule are tougher. The AFC gets 9 home games in 2025 so the NFC with 9 away games is tougher. The Tougher divisions are tougher, Those playing all four opponents in the tougher AFC and NFC are tougher. These are the structural differences.
Autry getting older and no more PEDs allowed . Maximize his efficiency by making him a 2nd / 3rd and long interior pass rusher
They will be rotating in. Foley/Edwards/Rankins/Autry etc.... A DL of WA/Autry/Edwards/Hunter will be really good. 2nd unit of Taylor/Rankins/Hinish/Draft pick/ Barnett is going to be pretty good too. The depth on this DL is going to be pretty awesome. The DL should be fresh all game long.
Autry is a swingman and in the mix for both OT and DE. I believe his primary is DE rotation piece to keep WAJ and Hunter fresh. But that changes with the need.
