If Jalen played that exact game, it would have been his second best game in the playoffs... roughly twice as good as his next best game.

Just because it's a bad for Anthony Edwards game doesn't mean it was a bad for Jalen Green game.... especially when you look at his total contribution and not just scoring efficiency.

We can **** on Edwards all we want, but he took a high volume of shots, even if his efficiency was awful. That's what we needed from Jalen, to be honest. Sometimes the "right play" and whatever doesn't matter. You gotta play like you think you're the best player out there--even if you're not. Go out swinging, shoot 20+ shots and let the criticism come. It's better than the alternative.

I have a feeling Jalen will be a Rockets for at least a while longer, not because of some insider information, but just because I'll take Stone's words at face value, even if it makes me look dumb later. But anyway, if it is true and Jalen is a Rocket for a while longer, that's what I hope he does. Play with force, and play aggressive. I don't think the hate/negativity will stop unless he truly proves himself.

To me a bad game is a bad game. No matter if one stat line is better than the other.....it ultimately resulted in a loss.

I think what this does show is that the Warriors play well defensively and that both Jalen and Ant struggles against them. If this continues throughout this series, then what does that say about Jalen or Ant? They're terrible? Should be traded? Kicked out the NBA?

I'm pulling for Minny because I just do not like the Warriors but as I stated, this gives the Rocket's FO, fans and media a deeper insight on its not just Jalen, it's the Warrior's defensive strategy.

I really don't think you guys listen to what Ime and Stone are saying! Lol

Stone just said during the Press Conference that, "IME TEACH THE PLAYERS, IF THE OTHER TEAM IS TRYING TO TAKE OUT ONE PLAYER, THE OTHER PLAYERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO FEAST".

Meaning, he wants for them to NOT take 22 bad shots, like Ant did AND they still lost! He wants them to PASS THE BALL and make the correct play! Under Silas, Jalen would have took the 22 bad shots. It worked during the Regular Season, it just didn't work during their FIRST Playoff series.

SO, WHICH WAY DO YOU WANT IT?

lol the cope is hilarious. You would be saying something completely different if Jalen played as good as Anthony Edwards did last night and the Rockets still lost.

Jalen didn't play anywhere near as good as Edwards in any game except that one where he went off for 30+

Had Jalen played as good as Anthony Edwards did in a bad game by Edwards, the Warriors are in Cancun right now instead of the Rockets.

The blind fanboi BS simply has to stop

Actually Edwards got 23 pts with 22 shots is still bettet than Jalen's scoring efficiency this season.

Please don't compare a wallflower like Jalen to a warrior like Edwards, it makes folks understand you have zero context about what Jalen is/isn't.

false - he followed Ime gameplan which was to get off the ball - like did you not listen to post game or press conf.

they wanted him to be better and more aggressive with the chances he did get in series ….

Then again maybe some folks would have been happy since they seem to only care about points and not the fact Alpi kept taking attempts from areas he was shooting below 40% for series ….efficiency only matters when it comes to JG

No one was happy with Alpis efficiency but he was being guarded by one of the best defenders in the league and also he did so many other things out there. He rebounded like a monster, set up teammates, play outstanding defense so as a whole he contributed positively. Led the team in deflections.

Jalen plays great on ball defense turned the ball over way too much for his limited touches. And couldn't shoot straight. Understandably since Jalen was drafted to be our offense when he lays absolute duds it's very frustrating.

As an example James Harden was blitzed every play in game 7. He had 13 assists and 2 turnovers. Harden getting killed too but even that was better than Jalen Green. Jalen missed so many reads, with Jabari standing wide open in corner only for him to force terrible bounce passss to Adam's. Like he needs to improve on so much.

He didn’t rebound like a monster, majority of his rebounds were off his own misses or when GS played small, soon as Draymond and Looney entered his rebounds went away just like his efficiency

Comparing anyone to JH is crazy because he’s 1 of 1 … Harden is a PG in a SG body … but you also going to live with SG type turnovers with worse defense playing JH and he’s been a no show several times in playoffs , this was JG first playoff series and he had a championship coach scheming to stop him - that mean they didn’t fear Alpi .. they knew he couldn’t hurt them .. he shot less than 20% vs Draymond and Looney

Rockets roster construction sucks because we only have 1 SG on roster (JG) Reed and Holiday are (PG) everyone else either a forward or a center … we need to get a vet SG who can help mentor JG in those situations

Both players need to get a lot stronger and develop a goto move that they take without hesitation no matter who is guarding them….

You're STILL missing the point! Ime wouldn't have have allowed Jalen to take 22 bad shots is the point.

Someone check his contract, I think there is a player option and only inked for 2+1 years?

He is a UFA when he is 26-27.

If he doesn't want to be here, he can go after 2 years.

It is so easy to blame these 22 years old guys for having bad games. The real problem is coaching. Looking for a different outcome after watching the same horrible offense all year is beyond naive. Yes, we need another shooter or 2, but if Ime won’t use them appropriately we will regress next year. We have shooters that play in Dillon and Jabari. Jalen and FVV are streaky, but they shoot better when they are wide open. It’s up to the coach and his staff to get the ball moving. Walking up the ball and playing with it around the logo for most of the shot clock is not the way to play when you have one of, if not the best, athleticism in the league. Folks vitriol is pointed in the wrong way. The coach needs to be held accountable, since he refuses to hold himself accountable.

One way to get his attention is to get rid of his crutches. FVV at the very least needs to go. Dillon should be a bench player and if he can’t bring the energy from the bench then he needs to be gone as well. If we traded Jalen for Ant, it still wouldn’t make us contenders if his PG was FVV and Ime is still running the team. This team needs to emulate the Lakers showtime. Amen started to take the bull by the horns and push the ball and got us back in the game. That short span in the third quarter is how we should’ve been playing all year long. Magic had to get his coach fired to initiate showtime. Maybe Amen needs to do the same thing.

This is the playbook of Jalen fans and it has been for years. Jalen was awful instead of admitting that he was the major reason we lost this series its always blame someone else.

I know one thing I spent a lot of time following this team since harden left. I hoe that the time spent and the rewards from it are not now used on Van Vleet playing slow with a young talented team like this. It would be severely disappointing.
