The reason why the sensible ones on Clutchfans wanted him traded at the deadline, was because we shuddered to think what he'd do to his trade value when he would inevitably be exposed for the fraud he is, in the playoffs when defensive intensity ramped up.

    And now here we are.

GMs are going to be licking their lips when they pick up the phone and here Stone offer them Jalen Green.

No word again about abysmal shooting.....during the Silas era never talked about it.

Yeah. He should have agreed and sunk Jalen’s trade value to next to nothing. I really think the Rockets hold Jalen in very high regard. He works his ass off, has lots of talent, and is only 22. That’s not someone you jettison for nothing. I don’t like it, but Ime will at the very least will coach out his contract and may get extended. Ime loves guys who bust there ass and go about their business the right way. Love him or hate him, Jalen is an “Ime” guy and isn’t going anywhere.

Oh my Lord put down the pipe. Stone already tried to trade his ass 2 times during the regular season. You think it got better after this performance?

Ime benched Jalen for a ton of game 7. You think that’s because they were trying to take him out? That doesn’t even make sense. If the other team is game planning for our star we should keep him on the floor to draw doubles to find open looks. The writing is on the wall.

Jalen green is done in Houston. Take it to the bank.

There were a ton of sources saying the rockets offered Jalen and picks for mikael to Brooklyn who refused the offer. It was like a foregone conclusion.

How did Edward’s do vs the warriors blitz/double tonight

    9-22 1-5 from 3 (3 TO) and a L

yall would be killing JG for that stat line if he kept shooting vs warriors

Edwards with 23 pts 14 rebounds in his worst game.

We would have beaten Warriors if Jalen could give us 17 pts.

Edwards and Jalen should be not in a same sentence.

I think we would be thrilled if Jalen could do that…and we’d have won the series

we wouldn’t have won the series because where do you think those 22 forced shots would of come from - I mean it’s not like Alpi hit the high % he took but that’s where JG attempts went were to Alpi and Amen

31 missed paint shots Game 3 … 2/11 vs Draymond 16 missed paint shots Game 4 and 33 missed paint shots Game 7 …with only 18. 3pt attempts

Ime and Stone said it again today - they wanted him to draw the double and get off the ball - they feel like our other players have a advantage (that’s our offense, it’s not catered to one player) and that’s also our offensive issue

It’s not me, it’s not you, it’s us = no alpha no beta just a bunch of Ime yes men

It's an absurd thing people do with data. Jalen Williams wouldn't be worth a FRP on several data points. Right now OKC fans are raging about his inability to make open 3's. Banchero is a disaster with his on/off. Orlando fans are raging about how his stats are not connected to wins in any way (his TS% is same as Jalen too).

It's been discussed and hashed out many times on the board. Front offices don't use data the way amateur fans do. Especially the more data-driven GM's.

If Jalen Green was sent out there with 4 shooters and playing at a high pace he could easily have come up with 21 points on 19 shots (like Alpi) or 16 points on just 12 shots (like Amen). Could be achieved with 3 shooters and a rim runner also. The problem is we still would have lost. And you would be furious with Sengun for his inability to defend in space or score from outside the paint. Amen would have been just fine getting his 16 points on 12 shots.

Instead of confronting the truth you want to believe there's a organizational conspiracy to cover up for Jalen only. Rafael Stone gonna risk his job for a guy who allegedly is defined by those numbers when he has 6 other prospects on the team?

Give me a break. Jalen Green was the only player who drew regular double teams. We had the 4 on 3 advantage on all those plays and didn't punish them. That means Alpi and Sengun came up with that efficiency with single or less than single coverage.

When we swapped roles - game 2 when they didn't force the ball out of Jalen's hands - he dropped 38 with single coverage. I didn't see anyone else do that. We had 3 wins and Jalen delivered one of them. The entire rest of the team delivered 2 wins with Jalen drawing the double team. It's not hard to understand why the Warriors chose Jalen to double team. When you have a 4 on 3 advantage and 2 of those 4 can't shoot, you can force them into a midrange jumper which is a dream scenario for the opponent's defense.

Edwards has officially 40 pounds but looks like 50 pounds on Jalen.

This must be really tiring man and no one is buying this anymore, just stop. The problem with Jalen is blitzing and trapping him pays dividends - he either turns the ball over or makes a bad decision and usually takes forever to do that too killing the possession. In the rare cases he passes out of it in a timely and smart manner he just stands there watching his teammates cause he has close to 0 off-ball skills on offense. That is not a good ball player. Warriors forced us to play 4 against 5 6 games out of 7 and it worked. The guy shrunk and shriveled on the playoff scene. He’s not him, just take the L and move on.
