I’m sure they will. Close to CJ etc. I think it will be a long road to recovery. (similar to lance mccullers)
That is something he has to find out for himself. It's one possibility. But no one has ever done it before the first one does. Like being an effective pitcher after Tommy John surgery. It never happened until it did. And now it's routine.
Maybe its a symbolism thing.. Hes had a broken tibia, a destroyed knee, and a gunshot thigh... dude's leg IS a horror story.
Said it before, will say it again. I love Tank Dell. UH grad and all, friend of CJ, etc. But, he is too small for pro football. He needs to wrap it up and retire. I know there have been "small" players who have made it, BUT Dell is very, very thin.
Dear Tank, Please return as soon as you're well, but not a moment sooner. This is about wellness. You've already proved you have the heart to be a champion.
This commitment is one of the reasons I couldn't have made it in sports even beyond being 2 years too young when it really matters, too little and too slow at the time. I was 11 when I played for 1 year in 7th grade at 90 Lbs as a lineman the last year they thought refusing water in Texas summer heat made you tough. I was passable in an age graded league. (9-10) But though I eventually got bigger and faster in College, it was too late for me to learn that level of commitment to be successful. But the funny thing is My oldest son was always bigger than his peers by a margin larger than average to the 95th percentile. He is always asked about playing football because he's 6'8" and about 340 and larger than many pro linemen. Even many former Pros ask him where he played. BTW, he was always Country Strong or strong without the gym rat mentality.
