Here's my Christmas list for the offseason. In the spirit of the thread I hope everyone else will post theirs. Without AI! :)

I think Booker is the answer. We'll see. I think he would thrive under Udoka and provide a shooting guard who won't wilt in the light. If we can get PHX to take Jalen and 1 or 2 first rounders. No to KD. He's too old and set in his ways. Not one to change for our culture. Will need special treatment.
Renegotiate FVV contract or decline the third year. Time for FVV to move to the bench and let the young guys learn to drive.

If we can keep Aquaman without breaking the budget I say we do it. Even if there's a little overpay.

If any package that doesn't include Amen or Alpi would get Giannis I say go for it.

This is all I want and I will never complain or want anything ever again. Booker and Giannis without having to get rid of Alpi or Amen.

I'm with ya there. I'm so sick of all the wasted time already, and excuses for his youth, yet all those minutes haven't brought any huge differences in shooting percentages, or given me superstar or high IQ vibes.

I mean look at the differences in Green's year 1 thru year 4 percentages to Braun on the Nuggets in his year one to year 3. Sure, Braun's a year older, but I'm talking improvement in years in the NBA, and the difference isn't even close. Green hasn't even improved at all in most areas.

    FG%
    Green Year 1 - 42.6% Year 4 - 42.3%
    Braun Year 1 - 49.5% Year 3 - 58.0%

    3 PT
    Green Year 1 - 34.3% Year 4 - 35.4%
    Braun Year 1 - 35.4% Year 3 - 39.7%

    TS%
    Green Year 1 - 54.7% Year 4 - 54.4%
    Braun Year 1 - 56.8% Year 3 - 66.5%

    SH-EFF
    Green Year 1 - 0.51% Year 4 - 0.50%
    Braun Year 1 - 0.55% Year 3 - 0.63%

    SC-EFF
    Green Year 1 - 1.213% Year 4 - 1.199%
    Braun Year 1 - 1.246% Year 3 - 1.484%

Let's compare some other stats in Green's 4th year and Braun's 3rd year.

    STL Green 71 Braun 85
    BLK Green 27 Braun 37
    ASST/TO Green 282/203 Braun 205/81
    REB Green 377 Braun 410

I'm ready to end the experiment and sign a better starter. If we can't make a trade, then start giving someone else development until we can sign someone better, and meanwhile make him a 6th man off the bench.

you really comparing him to a man who isn’t the 1st or 2nd maybe not even 3rd option that plays in a motion offense with a MVP

this is like when folks thought Pippen could be a #1 or Ariza …

so impatient - we was hoping for the playin this year and was the 2 seed… and if it wasn’t for the playin, GS doesn’t make playoffs maybe and we avoid them and who knows where we end up

OK. So it's been brought ot my attendtion that four max contracts isn't realistic. I don't live in reality mostly. Would be happy with Booker for Jalen and a few firsts!

Since this team was #2 seed in the West, I'm not too sure about ripping it up to bring in Giannis, especially since I don't know how he and Amen play together on offense. The easy move would be to trade Jalen and Dillon along with the Suns' picks for Durant.

    PG: VanVleet / Sheppard
    SG: Thompson / Whitmore
    SF/PF: Durant / Smith / Eason
    C: Sengun / Adams

OK, comparison aside, I'm saying he hasn't improved in FG%, TS%, SH-EFF, or SC-EFF, and I want a SG that has improved, and has better averages as our starter. I'm tired of the guy and his inconsistent shooting.

Get the first pick in 6 days and nothing else matters.

Cooper Flagg fixes everything and would cost nothing.

Complete flexibility and probably best to take a small step back and let the young guys have the complete reigns if Flagg is a Rocket.

Reed/Amen/Flagg/Bari/Sengun is the best young starting 5 in the NBA
    Green/Tari off of the bench.

Allows the Rockets to go in about 20 new directions and gives them a clear #1 offensive option without costing an asset. Additionally creates spacing in an offense that desperately needs it. If you play Sengun and Amen at the same time, you need three shooters. Additionally, this allows Bari to have 0 creation duties. He's the safety valve. All 4 of the other starts could self create in theory. It's crazy that Flagg is absolutely the best fit out of any top end prospect the past 5 years and there is a 4% he could be a Rocket. Wemby was the dream but Flagg is a very strong consolation.

They will run it back, but if they can get durant for cheap with the suns picks they will probably add him.
Its a no brainer, even at his age, Look at what he avgs and hes a prime goto.

KD for Jalen, Tari, Brooks, 2025 1st, and 2027 first.

That should do it. If you wanna keep brooks that’s fine, just tweak the numbers with fillers until it works.

    FVV/Reed
    Amen/Cam
    Jabari/Literally whoever
    KD/Literally whoever
    Sengun/Adams

Don’t tell me that’s not a championship team.

You don't need to add Tari, that makes it an overpay, but you're on the right path

Jalen, Brooks, #9 and 1 of Whitmore/'27 BKN Swap/'27 PHX Pick would get a KD Trade done. Assuming its the '27 PHX pick, below is your 9-man rotation

    FVV/Reed
    Amen/Cam
    Jabari/Tari
    KD/Tari
    Sengun/Adams

He hasn’t been put in an offensive system where he doesn’t take grenades or isn’t the only perimeter creator on the floor … so his %s can’t be compared to someone like Braun

Look at Poole and Wiggins on GS and off GS …

Hope this gives some people perspective on this very young team. This is the age and number of years played before these SUPER STARS when they won their FIRST championship.

    Player Name_________Age_____Season #
    Steph Curry___________26_______6th
    LeBron James________27_______7th
    Michael Jordan_______28_______6th
    Hakeem Olajuwon____31_______9th
    Dirk Nowitzki_________32_______12th

Now, this team is built more like the Detroit Pistons that won back to back championships in 2004 and 2005. Look at the age of their guys.

    Player Name_________Age_____Season #
    Chauncey Billups_____28________13th
    Tayshaun Prince______23________2nd
    Rip Hamilton_________26_________3rd
    Rasheed Wallace_____29________10th
    Ben Wallace__________28_________7th
    Average______________27_________7

We are out there trying get our young guys feet wet and compete with the following guys getting major minutes

    Player Name_________Age_____Season #
    Steven Adams_______31________11th
    Fred Vanvleet________31________9th
    Dillon Brooks________29________8th
    Jalen Green__________23________4th
    Alperen Sengun______22_______4th
    Tari Eason____________23_______3rd
    Jabari Smith Jr________21_______3rd
    Amen Thompson_____22_______2nd

I think continuity and growth will see this team rise to a 56 - 60 win team next year with at least a second round appearance and potentially WCF.

I think the Rockets should go for Booker or Giannis, obviously, but if that doesn't work out, see who comes available during the regular season

    Ja Morant
    Trae Young
    Karl Anthony Towns

Are not on the same tier as Giannis, but they would all solve problems for the Rockets in terms of shot creation

This notion just needs to end.... It's just getting tiresome how some of y'all can't accept the roster isn't good enough offensively as constructed and the answer wasn't just sitting there on the bench.

You are ignoring the fact that he hasn't improved his efficiency on the shots he takes and is in his 4th season.

There is a thing that is called 'Plateauing' .....precisely what happened with Durant in OKC....

They traded Harden and Durant could not get past WCF/2nd Round...... had to join the Hampton's Five.
