They will pursue big man. Adams or Alperen may be their target.

    a few more:

Jalen to Orlando for Jalen Suggs
Jalen to Indy for Benedict Mathurin
Jalen to Memphis for Ja Morant or Desmond Bane

I doubt Jamal Murray is available but earlier this year that max contract wasn’t looking too great.

I don't think Orlando would move off Suggs. They were patient in his development and they probably envision Paulo and him as their future. Ja is definitely a possibility. Memphis needs to blow that up. It would take much more than just Jalen though to get him. I don't think they'll give us Bane for Jalen but he'd be a perfect fit. Would love to have him here. Mathurin maybe possible. Two guys who could use a change of scenery.

Yeah he had a down year but with his playoff performance and the Nuggets now up 1-0 on OKC no chance. They're a championship team. They aren't breaking up their core

What is his value? Just $33M salary filler and they get him for 2 years? Do we need to attach a pick? Does he still have the “potential” tag? (“We can fix him.”)

I know some of you are still holding out hope. :D
    “I’m not trading him.”
    “I’m not giving him away.”
    “Just get a better PG.”
    “Let’s play faster.”
    “Move him to Sixth Man.”

Yeah those people need to wake up. Jalen has no future on this team and we don't have the space for him anyways. We have a ton of wing talent that could take his place easily on this roster. Our best bet is to move on from him this offseason so the team can focus on building a championship roster.

Jalen is not going to take a sixth man role after being drafted 2nd and we don't need to relive the Harden era of choking basketball

I don't think its the rite time to trade him as his value is at the lowest. though we could build team around other guys and leave him in the roster. he s a good player if u wish him for less.

Not worth selling low, really need to let him repair his value. Might as well give him another offseason to try and improve his ball handling and consistency, and re-evaluate at the trade deadline.

I think for Rockets "fans", the thing to take note of here is that all of those teams already have a primary scorer(or two) so those teams likely see him as valuable as a 2b or likely 3rd option. That's important to note because unlike the baggage 85% of posters here cary about "Jalen was picked 2nd so therefore he needs to be our primary creator", other teams just see him for what he is - not what you think he could/should be. He's got value in the league - just not as a primary scoring option.

The reason why that's important is - Jalen can be useful in our organization as well because the priority for the offseason is trading for a true #1 option. Jalen can be traded(and will definitely be part of trade talks), but it's not necessarily about trading Jalen and keeping Alpi(who is ALSO not a primary scoring option), it's about doing whatever it takes to get a #1 option and then trying to rebuild a team around who is left after that. I think Amen is the only guy who is close to untouchable because he is already elite at one side of the ball(All NBA first team defense in his 2nd year!!!). There isn't another player on this roster elite at anything.

...personally I think Alpi + picks and maybe Tari has A LOT more value than any package with Jalen so I think there is a world where Jalen might be on the roster next year...and I'm okay with that if we have a real #1 option. Alpi is the real deal for sure - I don't want to see him go, but we saw it in this series that GS was happy to trade their 3s for Alpi taking lower quality 2pt mid range shots(against a DPOY candidate?!?!?) and missing FTs. He's kind of giving me Pau Gasol vibes - the uber skilled big who needs to be surrounded by a #1 guy scorer to go from a first round out in Memphis to an NBA champion with Kobe. These are the types of things we needed to learn - that we lose the numbers game with a big who has no range, and that Jalen is a 3rd option offensively at best. Both are problems for our offense that definitely would have beaten GS had our offense been anything else but "awful enough that we had to hammer teams on the offensive glass to keep up scoring wise".

Best case scenario for Houston is they end up with a #1 this offseason and manage to retain Amen and Alpi but the odds are stacked against them for that. The only #1 option out there at the moment is Giannis(who I don't particularly like) and you can't play Giannis, Amen, and Alpi together because teams would just sit in the paint all game so any Giannis trade I think would have to involve Alpi.

I wonder if that's implying that Austin Reaves is available?

Good list. I think teams like ATL, CHI, and SAC that are kind of stuck in the mud might consider taking a flier on Jalen to see if they can luck out on his potential.

Which, apparently, is 14% of the time. (Okay, okay, 14.285% of the time.)

We’re not trading Jalen Green yet. Honestly, I can see us selling high on Alp for Giannis first. JG has to repair his value first. We roll into next season with Giannis, Amen, JG, Jabari, Reed.

Sengun, Cam Whitmore, Aaron Holiday, Landale, all of our picks for Giannis and maybe fillers

Rockets fans would rather see Jalen Green on a leper colony than in a Rockets uniform. It's done. Some other team will value him.

I also feel teams like Washington and Utah would be interested too, but the problem is they don’t have anything we really want.

Hard to defend this man after this series. Almost want to see if he can bounce back

I have the gut feeling he'll ball out after this embarrassment and will be a possible thorn in our side to any WC team we trade him to. Would hate to trade him to the lakers and him and Luka knock us out the playoffs lol

People want to trade the guy with HEART and keep the guy with NO HEART. If Sengun is traded and Jalen Green is still on the team, there will be even more empty seats in the stadium.

I'd take Austin Reaves in a heartbeat over Jalen.

They are not going to trade Alpi for an almost 31 year old Giannis.

The Jalen Only Fans waited about 2 hours after the game and then went back to their old excuses. "We're not giving up on Jalen Green! He's improved so much." He hasn't. His defense is better but look how bad his offense is now. Teams will learn they can sag off him and dare him to shoot. Jalen can't get by Steph and I don't want to hear that it was because of being double teamed. Watch the series. He was double teamed some, but a lot of the time Curry or Podz shut him down one on one and he couldn't drive past them. He is mentally shook.

I would probably consider Jalen for any of these picks. Some of them are a definite yes.

Another year of Jalen? I've been hearing that for three years now! "I want to see what Jalen does in his 2nd year. 3rd year. 4th year. 5th year."

There is no big takeoff for Jalen, we know what his ceiling is now. Trade him.
