You only get so many bites at the apple. Financial limitations will likely prevent us from extending both Tari and Jabari so we'll likely lose on of them for for 2026-2027. Injuries happen. Players sometimes regress. 2025-2026 will be as good a season as any to compete. There have been a lot of other up-and-coming teams that ended up in the lottery a few years later. The Pelicans were first in the West mid-season a few years ago and now they're praying for lottery luck. The Hawks and the Kings were emerging contenders a few years ago until they weren't. We should take the opportunity to compete when you can. It's not impossible that Jalen Green will become a good number one offensive option. It's just really unlikely. We have the assets to upgrade. We should use them. Amen and Alpi are already championship pieces. FVV still might be. Jalen is not.
R u kidding me? Kobe's first playoff series was against Blazers, UTAH was the next round. Against Blazers, Kobe managed to get 7.5 points in less than 10mins (52.9% FG + 50% 3P FG). Against UTAH, he didn't do well, had 8.8 points in 19mins (31.6% FG + 21.1% 3P FG). And our Jalen? 13.3 points in 31.3 mins (37.2% FG + 29.5% 3P FG). So, yeah, you could say "statistically" he did better compared to the rookie Kobe, the bench player Kobe's series with UTAH. But talking about first-ever playoff series? The rookie Kobe and the bench player Kobe was way more efficient than our fourth year young core Jalen. This tweet's comparison is a joke, period.
That’s a disingenuous reply. I replied earlier agreeing with many of the shortcomings listed and added in the poor free throw shooting. I’ve said what I’ve said, you can think on it or think what you want.
Kobe Bryant was not having low basketball iq, R.I.P. Jalen is one of the lowest basketball iq players in NBA. When will.fans here understand this? 4 full years have passed, wake up from this Jalen illusion. This.kid at best 6th or 7th player from.benxh..
Oh no. no no no. Comparing an 18 year old Kobe to a guy who has been a starter in the league for 4 years? Apples to Apples, Kobe's average stats for the entire 2001 playoffs, age 22, (16 total games, 15-1 team record): 30/7/6.5 on 56% TS. I don't want to hear the name Jalen Green in the same sentence.
"I can make data say whatever I want it to say. We heavily use it, but we're careful." What does that even mean?
Rockets tank for 2 years - Idiots … JG didn’t lead us to playoffs GS, Ime, Calvin etc etc - Gameplan was to double/ blitz JG and take him away from game (Ime”I wanted JG to get ball to middle to our All Star”… folks “omg JG didn’t jack up a bunch of FGA” Stone “ We have our own stats and analytics that we use to judge players” aka is the player doing what he’s being asked to do or not ….. Cam not seeing the court because he’s not doing what’s being asked of him People their own worse enemies - the folks who expected JG to be Kobe or the folks who expect Alpi to be Joker will forever be disappointed Patience is going it be the key…we need to tweak roster .. can’t go in playoffs with 1 SG, 1 PG…2 centers and a bunch of forwards …..we had no vets to goto if FVV was off or JG got the attention he was getting Decide who you want between Tari and Bari Trade Cam he will never make Ime happy Move Holiday for a real backup SG or PG Run if back, and try for top 3 seed again
This is so ****ing annoying Jalen Green does not have Kobe's mindset or killer instinct, it is dinegneous to him to even make that comparison. DD
The damage control from the coach and the GM after this series is pure comedy in relation to Jalen Green.
Oh man another 3 years of JG failed experiment. You know what the worst part will be? another 3 years of cltuchfans excuses for him, that's the worst.
