Hate him or like him, the guy did his job and did it well last night. Boki fans should be thankful the coaching staff does not take the opinions of posters on this thread...I for one think he's an awesome player that has no self-serving agenda as most players in the NBA do, so his playing is mostly about helping the team...when he gets the green light, I see the guy putting up some good numbers.
Rockets management obviously is not in Boki Fan Club. I bet they won't pick up Boki's 4th year option. The deadline is Sunday, right?
most likely his option won't be picked up but in a way that's a good thing...it should give him more motivation to be more consistent this upcoming season so in a way it'll be his contract year. if he does get his option picked up, he'll likely feel safe and that's a feeling i don't want him to feel. I want him to play like he did last night.
Casey Jacobsen is not having his option picked up, and I think he's had a better NBA career than Boki. The 4th year is too expensive for a bit roleplayer. Minimum is possible.
you can't compare the 2, jacobsen's rookie year he was given a lot of playing time backing up the 2. And the following years he's been given a lot more signifcant PT than boki. Boki's rookie year was spent on the bench all year because Rudy believed in never playing rooks.
Boki is just getting his feet wet. When he hit that three last night I knew that was the beginning of something special. Boki was the unconfident dude of the past who when he went into an elevator and pushed up, it went down, he got no respect. What we see now is a man who is tired of being lambasted by the fans, a man who will recliam his honor and garner respect from those impatient fans who dont want him to succeed because he has a hip slovenian haircut. He's no Langhi, and once the season gets going he's going to prove it.
...............den.................................den, den, den............... Risin' up, back on the court Did my time, took my shots Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet Just a man and his will to slash and drive (and sometimes shoot) So many times, it happens too fast You trade your allstars-to-be for cap space Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past You must fight just to keep them alive It's the eye of the Boki, it's the thrill of the fight Risin' up to the challenge of our rival And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night And he's watchin' us all with the eye of the Boki *****IN BOKI WE TRUST*****
how is that possible? since when was there 1 pointers.... besides Tech shots... and foul shots... 3shots*2points= 6 points
I'm not giving up on Boki. He plays like Ginobili and is still very, very young. He's got size and a 3-Point shot. I'll give him a chance.
He had 7 points guys lol a 3 pointer and 2 regular FG. He did look a lot more confident when he took the shots compared to all the other times he took shots. This reminds me of last year during the pre season when he came in and looked confident and hit 5 threes. That was a nice site and hopefully his confidence has been rising since that game and it will continue tonight. We shall see of course.
what the heck to all these rockets fans...has the off season messed with your head? now we gotta pick on our bench players? cuttino sucks fan club stevie sucks fan club jvg sucks fan club boki sucks fan club... dont forget the "tmac is lazy fan club" and "yao cant hold on to the ball fan club" ...comon, show some love here..win or lose...rockets fan for life
I would like to see Boki continue to play like he did last night. This has now turned into a contract season for him and his play will determine how much money he will be worth at the end of the season. I however don't want him to play too selfishly, throwing up every shot that he has, but I would like to see him play more aggressive. Kenny Thomas got a $51million dollar contract for his performance during his contract year in Philly. Maybe Boki can prove his worth on this team... And, I know... Man, @%*! Kenny Thomas!
