We could probably get two stars. Giannis and booker/ant/morant/ball/zion.

Ja, Ball and Zion I wouldn’t trade any of the core for.
Ant and Giannis? That’s a different story

Talent vs talent, no brainer, the Freak wins. However, I have concerns with his durability and longevity as a physical big man coming into his 12th season at 31. He's missed 10-20 games a year for the past 7 years. He does have a history of leg injuries as well.

Now looking at Alpy, he's super young and already made his first ASG. His ceiling is still very high. Maybe not Giannis high but definitely top option on any team high. Add him to the rest of our talent, it's obvious we keep him.

And look at my bro's style. Absolute rizzler, fire fit.

I would play this all the way out and think about what the 2025-26 Houston Rockets could actually look like on the floor.

Imagine a core of Giannis, Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson, Dillon Brooks, Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green, Steven Adams and Tari Eason. That's not just a strong lineup, that’s potentially the best defense in the league. And even then, you'd still have the flexibility to move someone like Jalen Green for the right complementary piece around your core of Giannis and Amen.

It’s also worth noting: the Rockets see Reed Sheppard as more than just a shooter. They believe he's a true point guard with real offensive upside. That could change how they envision the future offense flowing, especially in scenarios that might have run through Sengun.

Now, I've discovered people will hear this as an insult to Sengun. It's not. This is about Giannis. A generational talent. If you have a shot to bring him in, you take it. With one move, the Rockets shift from promising to legitimate contenders.

In what world could we get Ant???? He’s in second round on a young Minnesota team.

He was just in conference finals last year and has a chance to get back there again this year. And he seems happy. Nobody can get Ant. He doesn’t belong in this convo with those other guys.

Giannis is a flawed player on the downhill side of his career. He can’t carry a team.
Upgrade at point/shooting guard with better shooting and this team is on its way.

    Giannis isn’t the answer.

Uhh, okay. He’s already won a championship as the clear-cut numero uno. He's a top-3 player in the league, and frankly, operating on a level Sengun's unlikely to ever reach. 30 years old? That’s not old. That’s prime.
And the best part? He won't have to carry the load alone. He'd be stepping into a team with a strong, well-built supporting cast, one that can elevate him just as much as he elevates them.

    Number one? Sure.
That team was stacked with talent and shooting.
He turns 31 this coming season.

And no, the team would not be set up for him because it would be gutted to get him.
Far better off upgrading Green/Fvv and rolling with the elite core of Alp and Amen

Do the Rockets have enough young players and draft picks for that? Sengun can go in a Giannis trade for sure, but it will cost Alperen, another young prospect, and picks also. As for Booker, I don't think Phoenix will budge, but it’d take a lot more than Jalen Green to get him.

if I’m Milwaukee, I’m demanding Amen Thompson or don’t even bother calling my phone

Can Giannis post up against all those 6 foot 4 dudes that Alpi couldn’t score on ?

Trade Sengun for Giannis. Right now, that's about as easy a call as you’ll get.

If they lose in the second round, he could ask for a trade. If you’re Edwards, would you rather play with Rudy gobert and Julius Randle or amen Thompson?

No brainer, as much as I love Sengun. No to KD, no to Booker, but Giannis gets that whistle and can actually shoot too. We’d be the longest, strongest and most athletic team. Imagine him running with Amen, Green and Tari / Jabari on the break

Downhill side of career. Players like him don’t last in their mid to late 30s
