Of course - and this isn't new.

The USA has been attempting to do the same - just without the same type of focus.

The only difference now is that the USA has a moron at the helm.

Leadership is China is not all that great either, they make mistakes - but they are quite competent compared to the current US President.

"You know Buck, I don't think you are very nice. Not nice at all. I am teaching you to appreciate what you do have even more. You know - when you cannot afford those snacks you love so much, you will really appreciate that dinner each night. Just be a little more grateful for what we give you." - TRUMP

actually, the BIGGEST diffference is the the US dollar has been global reserve currency, enabling it to QE to the fullest extent possible, if needed.

whereas, all other nations can only afford to QE on piecemeal basis

This is different than the diamond discovery posted here. These findings will still take years to stabilize, manufacture, and create supply chains of scale but the innovations could be advantages for the next decade when silicon can't be packed any tighter.

China Just Made the World’s Fastest Transistor and It Is Not Made of Silicon
It looks like stuff other companies can copy and scale over time.

Copying/scaling lab results from diamond chips are much more difficult because the West doesn't produce/refine graphite in the amounts China has and our tech for pressing artificial diamonds is less advanced than Chinese.

after having been exposed as merely a parrot as if relates to the false narrative "Fed is wrecking its balance sheet",
now the habitual liar parrots another claim and presents it as being gospel.

I'm not sure where I lied, but it's much easier to make the situation up and pretend you're the concerned adult, amirite @astros123?

Reminds me of when I promised some girlfriends that I wouldn't break their hearts. Maybe my grown up words on Clutchfans D&D has its own a subtle charm.

Are the supply shocks here? I haven’t made any big purchases besides services since the tariffs were first made up.

I did notice jewelry prices shot up hit not sure how much of that is gold prices or tariffs.

The Trump Tariff nonsense on Hollywood actually is an easy one to explain:

-Trump more than anything wants Disney/ABC to bend the knee, pay him off, AND start to propagate his worldview, and greatness across all platforms (and of course removing black and brown people from Pixar movies, etc.)

-Marvel JUST started shooting Avengers Doomsday in London which will have a 300+ M budget, and have to make over 500M to earn a profit.

-Trump announcing this right now is a way to get Bob Iger down to Mar A Lago to bend the knee to get a carve out, and to completely overhaul how Disney/ABC make content.

this would actually hurt NFLX more which, effectively, benefits Disney

but that is above the dotard's head !
