Interesting as both seem to collapse in their careers.

Harden has had good game 7’s

2015 against the Clippers he dropped 31, 7, and 8

2018 against the Warriors he was locked in to start and looked like he was gonna drop 40, but then the rigging began…he still finished with 32, 6, and 6 going against an all-time great team

even in this game 7 where he was terrible, Harden had 9 assists in the 1st quarter and finished with 13…the team collapsed in the 2nd quarter

comparing Jalen Green to James Harden is a joke

Both lose, so it's not a joke. Harden is getting older but may be wiser now to be better while Green still has youth and potential.

Harden, it's not even a comparison. Harden in the recent game 7 loss still gave you 11 assists.

Comparing an MVP to a bust is just dumb.

We lost game 7 in 2015? We lost in 2020?

    The refs didn’t rig 2018?

Y’all are still talking about potential with Jalen Green?

Jalen was garbage for 90% of this series…Harden at least has the decency to be good early and fade towards the end which would’ve been enough to beat this GS team…we win game 1 and game 3 if Jalen gives us anything worthwhile, but he didn’t

Harden goes bad in the playoffs but he's still an MVP level talent in his prime. It's disrespectful to compare him to Jalen Green tbh, Jalen doesn't deserve that level of regard.

Tell me what the rest of the roster looks like. I do think Jalen is going to be super valuable in a game 7 series if he is on a team where he is playing a 6th man type of role and has stars making his life easier.

Harden only challenging in the sense that he is so unique that your whole offense is by default ran through him and in a 7 game series with nba all world defense it can crater a series.

Harden though is one of the most incredible isolation players in history even despite how problematic a Harden team can be in the playoffs. So obviously I trust Harden far more with the ball in his hands in a playoff game to get shots against all world defenses even though his playoff track record is a source of frustration.

Would I take an aging star who can still create for himself over a young, passive, streaky scorer? Is this real life?

Harden at least gave you some accolades and a puncher's chance to win any series.

Jalen has had four years to show us something meaningful and he hasn't done so.

Usually, the great and/or franchise-level players show us something early and often (especially during the playoffs). Green has not, and I don't want to give him anymore time to "develop" nor give him anymore grace

Your starting SG cannot get outplayed by Brandin Podziemski and expect to be taken seriously.

Nice thread, OP. Way to push the knife in deeper and give it a little twist.

1 has 1 playoff series under his belt

the other has several playoff flameouts under his

even with the robbery of 1 game… I don’t need to live through the James Harden experience again
