Not sure where some of y’all have been the last four years, but we’re still in a rebuild. This season, we were way ahead of schedule - nobody expected us to be second in the West heading into the playoffs. I know some idiots here are calling for changes to the coaching staff, but let’s be real: without Ime, we wouldn’t be anywhere near this level. At least now we know who steps up when it matters and who doesn’t. Next year, Reed and Cam need real minutes. With cap flexibility, another year of growth, and key rotation adjustments, we are well-positioned to make a deeper run next year. And if that doesn't happen, maybe we can talk about a failure then
I'm not even mad. I wanted to punk the Warriors, but the internal growth was great this year. The Rockets have arrived and will be relevant for (hopefully) the next decade. The Rockets have warts, but internal growth will make the Rockets better next year than they were this year. Our weaknesses were exposed - lack of shooting, lack of high level playmaking - I knew we were cooked last night when they gave VanVleet the lane, general lack of offensive shot making. It should be an interesting off season
I agree, just adding some role players like Caruso and Hartenstein should do it. Our Chet is Jabari (not coming back from injury; but hopefully putting on muscle in off season)
GS 18/43 - 3s Hou 6/18 - 3s Owner Tillman Fertitta and Rafael Stone need to give a warning to Ime Udoka. He will get Fired next season if this happens again.
That will be my only gripe with the season. Teams made moves to help their chances. We stood down on getting some real bench help.
You can't really say the Rockets blew their rebuild. There are some real pieces in place like Jabari and Tari, guys who bring something no matter the direction. But only Amen looks like a cornerstone. That could change if Reed Sheppard develops fast, but right now, it's Amen or bust. Rafael Stone has to go get a star, a real one, someone who can stand next to Amen and make it work. That probably means Jalen or Sengun, maybe even both, could be on the move.
Fred VanVleet, Jock Landale, Cam Whitmore and Phoenix Picks and Swaps for LaMelo Ball. Dillon Brooks for another player
There is a difference between posters being mad/sad we lost, and stupid-ass threads like this. His dumbass opinion could've been perfectly served in a game thread, but for some reason he decided that it was worthy of a new thread. But I suppose the real idiot is me, because I've been responding to it again and again...
