A team that has Sengun as the #1 option will never go anywhere in the playoffs.

LOL there’s not a single thing in there about his efficiency. Just empty numbers dressed up to look meaningful.

Sengun was not good. But he did take shots and was putting in the effort. He has to find a jumper. It's that simple for him to get to the next level. He sometimes gets stuck on the defender in the post, and kinda just throws it up, but that doesn't concern me as much as his inability to hit anything outside of 3 feet. He just has to get in the gym and just fix that.

Alpi needs to get his stamina up and he will be fine. He was great in every game but the last one and still put up decent numbers while being off. I think it is a stamina issue. He is expending so much effort on defense now it is affecting his offensive game. He is 22, he will be fine.

Alpi's efficiency, or lack there of, is concerning. He was below average TS%, and way below average for a big man, and this is supposed to be our "all-star" center? Not good. He might need to make some adjustments for next season, whether that's no 3 pointers ever, or fewer mid rangers. Somethings gotta give.

Would rather see him be a 18 PPG per 36 min center, with solid defense and good intangibles, rather than this faux #1 scoring option.

Some players work on getting stamina for years but never get it. James Harden has worked diligently at it and he still has the same problem, he fades at the end of games; miss shots because he has NO leg strength, reaches on defense, and missing assignments due to being tired.

It's hard to imagine because they work at it every Summer but it's there body makeup. It still effects Luka. If you notice he starts games on fire and tends to fade in the later quaters. Jokic lost weight and it helped him but he still has stamina issues.

If yall have not figured it out yet the Brooklyn White guy is nothing but a troll. He joined in 2017 but did not make a single post prior to 4/28/25. Over 95% of his post are against Sengun. This is an alt account created by someone back in 2017 and stashed so they could troll at some point in the future. He likely has multiple such accounts. I put him on ignore.

If he doesn’t develop a 3 pt shot he should be traded.

Ime has seen he can play the style of Defense that can win a championship, unorthodox but highly effective. Love how he trusted him. Now Sengun has to reward that trust by being a two way player without fatigue. Go train in Denver. Take Aquaman with you.

Green likely doesn’t get you Giannis.

    What nonsense.

I'm not sure how I can say this any more plainly: I don't have another account here. I got pulled into the Rockets' playoff run and I’m just calling it like I see it.

I'm not going to sugarcoat for fans of just one player. Sengun isn't untouchable. If a star like Giannis is on the table, you make that move! For me, Amen Thompson is the guy you build around.

Trying to write me off or discredit what I'm saying is just something you're doing to make the take feel a little less uncomfortable.

Sengun was by far the best Rockets player the entire series. I laugh at the noobs complaining about Sengun after this series, smells of desperation, the goal posts have been moved so far back they can't be seen anymore. It's hilarious, they really are grasping at straws.

"He was bad for 1 quarter last night" "Stamina" "Bad FG%" "3 point shot" "Trade him for Giannis "

Haha suckas, must suck to be so wrong lol. Unfortunately for you Senhaters he is only 22 and rising!

How energy at the end of games will improve if he doesn’t have to expend so much energy on offensive possessions, ie develop a jumper. He turns down easy points and turns it into a more difficult energy expending effort to score, with low efficiency.

He played like a young star in his first ever playoff series often does - got his numbers but was inefficient as f—k.

Doesn’t strike me as a “I won’t get better from this experience” type of dude either.

People talk about Sengun's offensive touch but they don't mention the leaps he has made on defense.
In the regular season FVV was 11th, Sengun was 12th and Amen was 13th in the entire league for defensive win shares. Alperen has gotten significantly better on defense under Udoka and he was not getting cooked by Curry out on the perimeter.

Sengun can bulk up during the offseason and work on hitting hook shots more consistently. Defensive awareness is something that comes naturally and Sengun has shown he is capable of adapting to Ime's system. Also a lot of teams are forcing Sengun to take more midrange shots which he can work on all summer. (+ Freethrows)
