lol. The Rockets have plenty to work on. But, to call this rebuild a failure is ridiculous. The rebuild is still ongoing. We have assets we haven’t even used yet. We have Whitmore, Sheppard, and this years draft pick still to be incorporated into the rebuild. There are many NBA teams that would trade their roster for ours in a second. And don’t forget. We have treasure trove of future draft picks.
The reason for the failure is one: Jalen Green. This nail painting California Diva doesn’t have the work ethic or mentality to be a star. It’s pretty evident.
He does work, Jackass. Don't you ever Flap your Gums again. He works out 2 times a Day with Trainers.
Ime cost us this series, his stubborness to leave players like Holiday on the bench hurt the team more than any one players struggles. we need turnover, yes, but our coach seems to get out coached a lot. DD
Signing Free Agents is more important than Star Chase and overspend on one player. Free Agents Fred VanVleet Steven Adams Aaron Holiday JaeSean Tate Myles Turner Quentin Grimes Naz Reid Dorian Finney Smith Nickeil Alexander-Walker Tim Hardaway Jr. Malik Beasley
PG LaMelo Ball, Reed Sheppard SG Jalen Green, Malik Beasley SF Amen Thompson, Quentin Grimes PF Alperen Sengun, Tari Eason C Myles Turner, Jabari Smith LaMelo Ball a Great Closer in the 4th Quarter, makes big shots.
I stand corrected. Was that a Pels team that Zion just came back for the Playoffs? Before this years playoffs I had the Warriors going to the NBA finals. A lower seed that is actually a top 3 quality team. Rockets - Warriors could have been a Western Conference Finals matchup
Results happen if the Coach knows what he is doing, clearly Ime Udoka never cared about putting 3 point shooters on the Floor at the same time. The Zone Defense Jalen Green was facing was due to no 3 point shooters on the floor. Only 18 attempted 3s is on Ime Udoka choices for a Bigger Lineup.
Learn the problem, Ime Udoka not using Aaron Holiday, Jabari Smith cost the Team. Zone Defense on Jalen Green blocks Jalen Green from driving to a open shot. Need 3 point shooters to help get open lane. Learn
Relax. This was a big ask with other more experienced teams only separated by a few regular season games. The bitterness of a loss like this is a great motivating factor for young players--they think they were the better team and they are right, but the playoffs are different. We'll be back. I expect us to be near 60 next season and have home court in at least the first round.
Warriors in the regular season with Butler: 23-8, 74,2% victories, equivalente to 61-21 in a full regular season. Would have been the clear second seed. Without Butler: 25-26
This is a ridiculous thread. They had an amazing rebuild. They tanked for 3 years, got several picks who are keepers(Alpi, Amen, Jabari, Tari), have a ton of future lottery picks banked, and a mere 2 seasons coming out of the tanking years were already the 2nd best team in the West and 4th best team in the league. Yes, they still need to find that #1 alpha type player(barring Amen becoming that guy), and those don't just fall out of the sky. But they have the assets to go after someone like that either via trade or the draft.
Age-wise, our "core" players are actually closer to Shai in that bubble year where they lost to us in the first round (Harden's last hurrah, and House's lowest moment). And then OKC had a stretch of three years without being in the playoffs before last season. We're in good shape, all things considered.
Him painting his nails and/or being from California has nothing to do with why he played like ass this playoffs. James Harden is literally from California. Dwyane Wade paints his nails. Jalen just wasn't good enough. His background has nothing to do with it (and I have no love for California at all lol)
