Unless I missed something I don't think that's quite what he said. He did say that they would love to have Fred back and he thinks the feeling is mutual.
Sengun was our anchor on offense, without him we would've been blown out every game...gotta give credit to Draymond, he's actually a great defender.
Yeah, you were one of those fans that thought amen was going to be a bust. So you don’t really know what you’re talking about, but you think you do.
Cam absolutely would have been a better option and the team would be wise to invest in Cam's future as a SG on this team rather than Jalen. Don't care about the bull in a china shop bs. He puts points on the board. There is 0 chance Cam has 6 games in this series where he's scoring in the single digits and low teens. The biggest issue Cam has around this MB is that he threatens taking minutes from Jalen. Anyone that does that is enemy #1 to the fringe Jalen lunatics.
As someone who had serious doubts about Jalen's basketball IQ and #1 option potential as far back as his pre-draft interviews, it's been an interesting four years watching the constant mental gymnastics of his more ardent defenders. I hope this series broke whatever spell he had over those people.
I said this was going to happen, on several occasions throughout the season. People called me a hater. But in reality it was just common sense all along.
Not only that, but VanVleet is the most reliable floor spacer on a team that struggles at shooting more than anything. Combine that with how he does a good job on defense and maximizing possessions on offense, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he will likely be the Rockets’ starting point guard once again next season.
Sengun offensively this game was bad. Sengun doesn't get a pass though for his good to great first playoff series? Hopefully you're just talking about game 7. Someone stands on the perimeter doing nothing. Someone bangs down low getting fouled repeatedly with no calls. The two are not the same.
As I pointed out earlier, being called out names and Jater is actually a privilege......tells you that you are more knowledgeable than the zombie fans. We are thinking outside the box...... Two sheathed sword for Jalen, Ime does enhance his Defense but he doesn't help him with his scoring.
Jalen’s inconsistency cost us the series. Add Booker and subtract Green and they win in 5. Green is gone.
He was scared and that's damning. He should at most come off the bench next season and try to be a 3 and D guy. His D is at least passable. I know we are paying him a ton for that type of guy, but that mistake has already been made.
in the postgame presser just now he said he’s happy with his defensive improvement but not with his offense and body and that’s what he’ll work on this summer
