ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 5/4/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 7)

Congrats to our guys. No matter how you slice it we way overachieved this year. I’m not even disappointed.

 

They didn't have much to cheer for from what I saw.

 

I'd rather have faced Memphis instead.

 

Most of his bad possessions tonight were when fvv or jalen pissed themselves and dumped to him with seconds left on the clock.

 

The zone was going to get exposed at some point as they overloaded with shooters. Udoka had no answer. Also kept letting Draymond open on pick and rolls. Once again Rockets played dump off to Sengun stagnant offense. It’s baffling to me why we continue to play this way. But it’s clear Sengun centric offense doesn’t work. Either Sengun goes or Green goes as I have said for years now. It’s not working.

 

Can't wait to see all the shtt threads this week.

 

One thing is for sure it’s not going to be at our hands. Curry Kerr and Draymond have been a curse on our franchise.

 

He didn’t hit 3s… he did what Ime wanted him to do on offense which was get up off the ball to Alpi in the middle and that created good shots if Alpi hit more than 42% from under 10ft

Alpi getting blocked at the rim by Buddy Hield ended the game. Had a chance to close within 6.

I'm sorry guy, but Fred, DB, Jalen, Amen, Tari were all much quicker on their feet guarding Curry than Jabari. Every time Jabari guarded him, it seemed like a very quick work. Now that I think about it, that's probably one of the main reasons Ime didn't give him more minutes.

Jabari just isn't very athletic. He is what he is. He's gotta master the 3-point shot and gain a bit more strength. He'll never be a post-up guy because he's so light in the britches. Even Curry was able to make him very uncomfortable on a mid-range turnaround.

 

Its a bit much, yea.

I dont hate Jalen. He's just not that guy but he seems a decent enough guy.

 

Some people have just been waiting to hate on Sengun and finally can after this game. Sure he played like **** but he showed up for most of this series. He needs a teammate or two to step up every once in a while and unfortunately Jalen never did aside from 1 game

 

Really. Did you watch the game good grief? 10 to 20 missed layups within 5 feet from the basket.

Everyone saying that they’re proud of our team, win or lose—I absolutely agree. If nothing else, this series showed us that Amen is a keeper, and a future STAR. Jalen is not going to be it, but he is at the very least self-aware enough to hopefully make some changes to his game going forward. Alpi was a little disappointing this game.

Another year of Jabari getting better. Another year of Reed developing…and another great draft pick in the cards.

We are a young squad. We’ll be ok—the culture is excellent, the talent is there, and hopefully next season home court will be just a little louder.

I think Bari is going to be safe, especially with how Jalen played. It means we probably should put more stock and investment into other young players.

 

Guy showed up in all 7 games. Leads team in pts, ast, reb and stl. No other guy played 3 good games. Just stfu.

 

This was one of the worst shooting performances of this season. Even for Ime standards.

 

I think we have the right coach but not the right players...
