I was saying to trade Green after year 1 and was bashed like crazy. Been watching ball long enough to know when a guy has it and when he doesn't. Green, prove me wrong tonight.
He's also mimicking Kobe and MJ shot selections minus the work ethic, killer instinct, and 6'6 height. He needs to humble himself and be like Mike Conley Jr. Just bring the ball nice and slowly and make your open 3's.
I feel like all of a sudden there are several All-Star guards that may be available this summer: Booker, Ja, Trae. Can we be in the play, given Jalen's Game 2 teaser, and the stash of PHO picks?
If he were at least tolerable we would have at least had some negotiating power in the offseason. Him being an absolute zero let's the whole league know we are desperate because we have to have a guy.
This was a bad game for him. 5 of the other 6 of them he was either sorta good and one really good game. The games he was sorta good were definitely not because of anything he did on offense, though he actually did draw doubles and pass out, and he moved around well. But a Jalen who isn’t scoring isn’t worth the salary. He's not good enough at other things to warrant such little output. You only trade him if you can find a really good deal. No reason to lose anyone else to shed him. Plenty of players have sucked balls their first playoff series. Now he has an off season to stew. He better take that disappointment and hit the weight room.
He's always incrementally improved each year but he's not going to break out but very slowly get better, like year 7 will be who he is, which is an eternity for fans understandably. He may be a very good player depending on his mentality or an average one. But we didn't max him out, he's still 23 and if he's a good third option so be it. As long as we don't over pay and hedge our bets, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. But we need a young alpha scorer in the playoffs one way or the other.
He got outplayed by Brandin Podziemski most of the series. Could we somehow get Tyler Herro for Jalen? Similar contract and stats. Herro is a better shooter and would fit with this team better.
This dude Perkins said we need to trade Jalen, Cam, AND Jabari and our pick for DURANT. These dudes are wild. Not for no 38 year old Durant hell no.
We have all the role players just don’t have an ANT, SGA, Luka, etc go to scorer. Time to cash in Green and all the picks to get one.
