If Jalen goes Kobe mode and jacks up 10 shots even if he goes 1/10 id gain more respect for him than if he just is floating around playing scared.
It seems like the Rockets thought they would win just by showing up. The nerves gave them dead legs on defense which is why the Warriors had so many open 3s. Every 3 that Hield hit was uncontested and it wasn't always because Curry was a decoy. We've got another half to play but unless they solve the Warriors zone defense, they have no chance. On one possession, watching Jalen pass up an open 3-pointer twice by passing back to Amen (who was ALSO on the 3-point line) proves beyond the shadow of a doubt Jalen has no guts whatsoever. I flat out do not want him on this team next year. I have serious doubts about Jabari, but out of desperation, he must get a chance early in the 3rd quarter to hit some 3s. If he doesn't, yank him out and put DB back in. If Jalen continues to play like a sissified creature who is scared to pull the trigger, pull him out after 5 mins and make them his final moments on the floor as a Houston Rocket. Tari looks like a deer in the headlights. Alpi still can't hit an 8-10 foot shot, which is pathetic. When a mouse is guarding him, he must attack quicker instead of spending what seems like 10 seconds surveying the floor. I just don't understand why he can't process faster.
great post. Alpi is in his head. His touch around the rim has been horrible — he’s needed friendly rolls for the few shots he’s made. He’s had Pods and Hield on him and they should be absolute BBQ chicken. He’s playing hard though, hopefully he learns from it.
My answer to all of this is.... who the **** drafted a kid that picked the G-league over college?!? Its not exactly a surprise that he's mentally strong. College is what makes these guys smart players.
@Mathloom where you at with your spacing BS, JG 1/5 Amen 8/12. FVV getting doubled and trippled. apologize you lil b****
I remember when I lost all faith that Jalen would be a star nba player. It was last season the first game against Orlando. When he shrunk in that moment I knew then he was never going to be the guy we hoped he would be. He's just a front runner who when he gets hot has a bunch of confidence but when he's not making shots from the peremiter he has no clue what to do with himself or how to get back on track and becomes completely useless. He's just simply not a good enough player for us to keep around and dedicate so much of the offense and resources to. I wish it would have worked Jalen. I really do, but it's time for you to go.
